Goldman Sachs - anyone heard back

18 October 2009 - 10:05pm
yuh

I applied to IBD in GS about three weeks ago, but have not heard anything back since. It just says they will get in touch should the appropriatejob come up.

Has anyone heard from them? Does anyone know their timetable for applications/interviews?

    Hi guys,

I've had 3 interviews with GS HK Compliance division so far. 2 hours after my 3rd interview last night, HR tried to contact me but I missed his call. Emailed back straight away and was asked to provide a time once business opens on Monday for him to give me a "quick call to provide an update on our status".

I'm not hoping much and am trying not to read too much into those words, but this is killing me! Anyone has any idea what does this mean? Does GS normally reject by email or phone?

    Thanks heaps!

I applied to Goldman Sachs Singapore and HK Summer internship 2011 program. My application status is still in "Application Received" since the deadline Nov 28th. Does this mean good news or bad news ? :S
Do you think follow up is a good idea ?

    Got the job!
I don t have much advice (still sort of in shock that I was successful!). Thanks everyone for all the help, and I sincerely wish every one of you the best in all your future endeavors.
FYI my offer came one month after my final interview (so it is not necessarily the case that you will get a rejection if you are waiting more than 2 weeks)..

Hey, I applied to GS SEC in London and have done 3 interviews so far, with 2 different desks. took 2 weeks to hear after first 2 interviews (on the same day) and had a third one last week tuesday. Anyone else interviewing for SEC London? it takes forever to hear back!

    @niketown
I am not really interested in an internship position. I am graduating next September, hopefully having a phd and I have no idea when is going to be a "suitable post" open... I hope they don't mean the intake 2012...

  • 4 December 2010 - 2:43am
    • eric cartman

    @anestisk
They still leave the position open post deadline but inform you later that you missed the deadline.

As far as I remember, they're not accommodating regarding shifting it from a grad role to summer but worth a try since you have 2 days. However given its a weekend, might be slightly late

    • niketown

    @anestisk:

It makes you wonder why the position was still open after the deadline, can't your application be transferred for an internship?

    • anestisk

I got an email, one hour ago that I missed the deadline and they are going to let me know if a similar position opens in the future. They say that the deadline was on the 24th of October. Can anybody recall that date?? I think I applied around the 10th of Nov and the position was still open... :-S

    Hello guys,

This website has been very useful for my GS journey so I'd just like to give back.

For those having interviews, I would say that knowing your CV is the best advice I could give you, coz when they tell you that the interview is competency based, it's actually more like CV based. They did not make any references whatsoever to my cover letter (although it is perhaps essential in getting you through the initial screening process).

Both my first and final rounds were of similar format (i.e. CV based). Also know your Goldman news well! They actually asked me what have I read in the press regarding GS, but they didn't go into too much details. Definitely know why you want to work for them, and know the division you're applying for inside out (if possible mention how it differs from its competitors and hence why you find the differences attractive - so relate them to your motivations on why you want to work for them). Know also why you want to work in the division you're applying for.

I applied to technology and there was an analytical thinking exercise which I don't think I could elaborate here as it would be disrespectful to their recruitment process. But it wasn't technical and it only tested your analytical thinking. I thought I screwed this up but managed to pass it somehow.

If it seems that they've run out of questions during the interview, do not worry! This happened quite a lot during my interviews. But as soon as one ran out of question, the other interviewer would ask you another one. As I said the interview is very much based on your CV so they just picked things that interest them from your CV. Be prepared to be drilled on them!

The good thing about interviews at GS is they're normally conducted by 2 people, so you're not the main focus and sometime they would talk to each other. Also they all are very friendly but remember that it is an interview so you want to come across as professional.

I'm not too sure how I did cause I was offered the job after more than two weeks from the final interviews date. So it seemed that they probably put me in some sort of waiting list while waiting for their first choice candidates to respond to their offers. But anyhow, I got it in the end :), and hope this really helps some of you going for the interviews.

@cheerioz, it is a graduate position. and you can reapply.

@eric - I first had to demonstrate my skills in the application to ensure that I made it through to the interview stage. Then during all the interviews it was essential that I demonstrated my skills! they ask questions based on what is in my CV so I had to show that my work experience & extracurricular activities have equipped me with the skills that will enable me to do well in the role that I applied for.
Even if you dont have relevant experience its likely that whatever you have has given you vital skills like teamwork, leadership & communication skills that will help you to succeed in the role you have applied for.You have to be able to demonstrate this so that you dont lose out to someone who has more relevant experience that you.

    hey guys,

They informed me that I will scheduled a 2nd round interview from 11nov-17th nov and said i should receive a response within 2 weeks of the interview process. But i got my interview on 12nov. Till then, I yet to receive any response from them :(

i'm just wondering which date should reference the 2 weeks - 12th nov or 17th nov? And anyone received any offers already?

I'm applying for sg tech division btw.

  • 27 November 2010 - 7:29pm
    • eric cartman

    @ niao

When you mean you demonstrated the skills - do you mean in the interview stage or application.
I was in the AC last year for summer internships and was told that they would love to have me back after gaining experience which I did with a bulge bracket IB this summer. Going for internships again and really hope I get it this time around.

I will be applying for 2 divisions and need to fit in skills and interest within 300 words.. FML

    @Satyasha
Don't read into that too much. Honestly, the fact that you haven't been rejected is good. I got mine within 3 days of the AC. I would wait patiently and hope for the best.

    @Niao

Thanks for sharing! Is this for a graduate position? I remember one of the requirements was to graduate this yr when I applied so I'm not sure if I'm eligible to reapply again next year. Anyways, best of luck with your new job! Congratulations again!

  • 26 November 2010 - 4:55pm
    • niao

@ cheerioz It was my CV and Covering Letter presentation& content that changed. I didn't reach the interview stage the previous two times I applied - I just got rejected!
I dont have relevant work experience as such, but the experience I do have has equipped me with they type of skills that GS look for so I really demonstrated this in my application.

    HI All
I am probly overthinking this but.... I just got an email from GIR saying sorry for the delay and that they would contact me next week, probably by email, with an answer.
Is it the case that rejections get emails, and successes get phone calls, and this is an indirect way of saying i am in the firing line, or am I being para.....

  • 26 November 2010 - 12:41am
    • cheerioz

Congrats Niao! Would you mind sharing what the differences were between your application this year and previous years'? Did you earn more relevant work experience or was it mostly your interview skills and CV presentation?

    Hi Guys!

I would just like to tell you about me application experience with GS. I applied for the Legal Analyst position

My first round interview was based on my cv except the following questions:
    1) Where do you see yourself in five years time
    2)Why Goldman Sachs?

I then got a call the following day inviting me for the second round.

My second round consisted of three interviews. Again they were based on my CV except for the following:
    1) How do you keep up to date with the news
    2) Why should we pick you
3)where do you see yourself on 10 years time
4)Why did you go to the Uni that you did
    5) What deals are you aware of that we have done
    6) Do you know what business area you will be working in
7)What appeals to you about GS
    8) you don't have finance experience, how will you cope with the role?

I got a call the next day to tell me I was successful. I start July next year.

Guys I also want to say that I applied in 2008 and 2009 and got rejected outright! So if that is the story of any of you guys, dont be discouraged - just take another look at you CV and covering letter and if possible go along to career events and get a professional to look at it for you, ideally someone who works in an investment bank. It may need re-doing as mine did!

Also I did not go to Oxbridge, UCL, KCL, LSE or Imperial!

O god, I d hate another round. Do you know what that would entail? Another round of interviews?
Mine was on Thursday, so its still early days. Still I am dying to hear news, but then again if its bad news I am not so sure I want to know..... I am only dying to hear positive news.
At least we have each other and wikijobs for company.
How do you think your went?

  • 22 November 2010 - 1:49pm
    • hijackie

Same here, the waiting time is not pleasant...My frd got a GS grad job 1 week after the final round last year, and people might also called back for another round beyond this.

When was your final round staysha?

  • 22 November 2010 - 1:38pm
    • Staysha

Jeez this waiting game is killing me.I have heard two different stories about the GS recruitment process. The first is the longer you are waiting the worse your chances as they let their favorite candidates know soon after the final stage. The second is that after they interview you they keep interviewing until they find someone they prefer to you, thus that fact that you are waiting a week does not mean tat you are a weak candidate. Unsurprisingly I favor the second story- though I am aware its wishful thinking!!!!

    Hey Winter10

I applied for the Hong Kong office too but it's for the Human Capital Management division. I applied for the position over 2 months ago and my application is still ridiculously at application received stage...do you have the email address for Goldman's HR by any chance? Thanks and good luck!

  • 20 November 2010 - 8:58pm
    • winter10

i applied for hk ops. i know someone got the same email. we take it more as a rejection email. Seems like they tell everyone regardless the timing of the interview that they will get back in two weeks. so they're probably hiring on a rolling basis. it seems like if they want you, you would hear good news in usually a week's time. oh well....

  • 20 November 2010 - 5:47am
    • winter10

has anyone ever received an offer from goldman here and would like to share their experience on how the process usually works?

I have been waiting for two weeks too and just received an email from GS (without having to call them to rush them) telling me that to wait even longer and they are still considering...but i could also contact them to ask about my status...Anyone had this kind of email before? Im not quite sure what they mean or even looking for... my thought is that they've already extended offers and just wanting to see if all candidates accept

any insight would be great. thanks!

I'm currently in Canada. My final was similar to my first round. Basically its the same questions asked by different people. They asked me things I put on my CV so make sure you know very well what you put down. It was very short ... around 25mins x 2.

They said they would reply within 2 weeks so I think chances are slim but good to know they are still interviewing

    Goodluck!

    • 20 November 2010 - 8:30am
      • Staysha

Was your final round more than two weeks ago? Or do you think your chances are slim because they would have told you less time than two weeks if they thought you were a good candidate? I had my final (sounds same as yours) a couple of days ago and they told me two weeks too....

  • 8 November 2010 - 7:30pm
    • vish1989

    @staysha
wow...thanks for telling about it staysha, I was only preparingfor competency questions. Can you please tell me something about the technical questions they asked u? n any other tips would be helpful :) . btw i hv my interview on 11th Nov

were they also referring to the cover letter?

    @betel
what time is your interview on 11th ?

  • 8 November 2010 - 6:10pm
    • Staysha

Just back from interview. It was fine. It did nt seem to be competency based- there were no 'tell me a time when you...' questions. It was more about my CV. They pressed me hard on the things I had down there. Also they asked a few technical questions, but it seemed like they wanted a reasonable answer rather than the right one, if that makes sense. It was tougher than some other first rounds I ve been through, but not horribly so.
    Good luck to everyone else!

      @ycyflora

I applied for technology too, at the end of august, and still no reply! wondering what i should do about it, and if its worth phoning them or emailing.

        @ gaspcat

Has anyone had a first-round interview with Goldman's Securities (Sales&Trading). I have one next week and was wondering what kind of length/focus (CV vs. competencies vs. markets) was involved. Thanks...

  • 6 November 2010 - 1:13pm
    • tradman27

They also asked where I see myself in 5 years time.

  • 6 November 2010 - 12:18pm
    • tradman27

    @ Han.Seung123,

    I agree with that observation.

    @ Betelguese,

They were just competencies, experiences of when you have shown skills that are required for the role. They also quizzed me on certain areas on my CV, if you have done something special in the past prepare to talk about it.

The very first question was what do you know about Operations in GS. I believe my interview will be different from most others because 70% of it was about my CV.

    Good luck everyone.

    Hey guys,

I have applied for GS Operations my application says under review... so dont know about that yet,.

But is anyone going to Operations Demystified Event on Monday 8th of Nov? Do you know what it is exactly?? Is it a good or bad thing?
They say its an casual event with workshops and insight day into the working of Operations. But some people already had interviews so does that mean that I wont have one and they are just inviting us there???

    Kind confused
    Thanks

    @tradman

Wow!! Congrats!! My first round will be on the 11th, coz I had another interview today so I couldn't pick the 5th.

Would you mind sharing what sort of questions were asked? You applied for operations right?

people with rejections, look at the bright side - when your next best choice asks you 'why do you work for us?' you can give an honest answer now that GS is out of the picture...

As far as I know, GS recruit on a rolling basis. I have a GIR application in London also under review. But has anyone heard from Asia-Pacific. I have Singapore and HK Ops that are still, very annoyingly, at the Application Received Stage.
Also, anyone got any rejections yet, or do GS just practise a 'only reply if successful' policy?

    • 4 November 2010 - 1:06pm
      • jinita86

      hey starfall75

I applied to IBD Asia Pacific and have been waiting for the status to change for a month already...
i emailed them 2.5 weeks ago, but they just told me to wait.

  • 3 November 2010 - 10:25pm

    Good luck, Staysha!

Do not worry about Numerical Test, my friend told me that it would be easy, not more difficult than SHL.

  • 3 November 2010 - 10:21pm
    • Staysha

well I ve done some volunteer work at a charity as a researcher, and i have an MSc w distinction from a target uni. But thats about it. No experience in finance, so I reckon that will be held agn me.... I am looking forward to it, but not holding my breath!

Staysha, is that next Monday? Would you mind sharing your experience with us afterwards? :) Thanks a lot!
All the best with your interview!! I have 2 x 30 minutes, and one of them is an analytical which could be that numerical test thing...

  • 3 November 2010 - 9:51pm
    • Staysha

Ah jeez that sounds hideous. The invite said 30 min competency interview only, so fingers crossed!

  • 3 November 2010 - 9:20pm

  • 3 November 2010 - 9:05pm

  • 3 November 2010 - 8:41pm
    • matt89

congratulations!! I have no idea, except im assuming just the standard competency based questions! Well done- I'm not too optimistic now as i would assume that they would send all the invites out in one go, but i guess there's nowt I can do except wait! well done again! when is your interview?

  • 3 November 2010 - 8:28pm
    • Staysha

Just got an email saying they want to interview me. VERY excited (and surprised!). Its a 30 min competency interview. Any ideas about what kind of things they might ask?
    Yay!

  • 3 November 2010 - 4:25pm
    • matt89

staysha- i really wouldn't worry about that- to be honest a phd in anything is pretty impressive!! I still haven't heard anything back from IBD or GIR

  • 3 November 2010 - 3:04pm
    • betelgeuse88

Thanks Staysha, and keep ur hopes up coz I wasn't expecting to be selected either lol.

    @vish:
Unfortunately I didnt choose 5th november hahaha...let's hope someone else here did...lol

What do you mean by GD?

  • 3 November 2010 - 2:51pm
    • Staysha

I am also under review. I applied for GIR. Think my chances are pretty low though considering I am doing a PhD in philosophy (hardly the econ/finance they probly want). Good luck to those w interviews- you lucky things!

  • 1 November 2010 - 9:16am

    @betelgeuse88
thanks mate and congrats to u too :). Plz tell me you have selected 5th nov as ur interview date so that I can have an idea about the interview..lol..

tbh, i got no idea at all abt the first round interview. and I am doin electronics...so coding will be ok hopefully. and i m trying to prepare myself for the competancy based questions and the logical/numerical tests.
Do u think there will be a GD ?

Well done for getting to the interview stage!
It appears that both of us are techies!! Do you have any insight on what the analytical part of the interview is like?
I just hope it's nothing to technical (like writing a code on the spot!) lol. Thing is I didn't do comp science in uni and it's starting to get to me now...

  • 31 October 2010 - 7:32pm

  • 31 October 2010 - 1:35pm
    • ScieFin

I applied for IBD too, no further update yet, the status is still "under review".

  • 31 October 2010 - 11:54am
    • matt89

    Oleg,

The deadline was the 24th October. I have applied to IBD too. My status is under review too. people that have been contacted by GS regarding interviews appear to be those from Tech so far, although I may well be wrong. Hopefully should hear something next week

  • 31 October 2010 - 11:01am
    • legon

My status is "Under review"... However, I applied for IBD, EMEA, London

I don't know when was/is the deadline for this particular program

  • 31 October 2010 - 10:07am
    • legon

Anyone who applied for IB got invited?

    • 31 October 2010 - 10:39am
      • jinita86

my application is still in "application received" status

      what about yours?
      and when was your deadline?

the asia region deadline was oct. 3
still no contact or change in application status
i emailed them a week ago to see what was going on,
and received a very quick reply saying they had received more applications than expected,
therefore would be requiring more time to review applicants

this whole waiting process is really painful :(

  • 31 October 2010 - 6:32am
    • vish1989

hey, i have been selected for the interview as well. freakin intimidated...lol...anyone selected for tech department ?

  • 29 October 2010 - 10:14pm
    • betelgeuse88

    Thanks matt!
and hang on, did you say u did 8 tests?!?!?! That's freaking ridiculous...although if they're all the same then it worked to your advantage I guess coz by the time you took your final ones you've had 3 sets of "practice tests" ;P. Tbh, I'm really quite worried I've failed the verbal one lol...

    • 29 October 2010 - 10:37pm
      • matt89

yes I did say 8!!! I did 2 numericals and 6 verbals!! the verbal ones were the same 4 times and the other 2 were different! It did sort of help but I know I put different answers each time- they get your brain in a bit of a twist!! I've applied for equities sales/ trading and research at CS and IB and GIR at GS- still yet to hear anything from either of them!

CS is a joke with all this mess but it might be my only hope at the moment! I know it has only been 5 days since GS's deadline passed, but I can't help but think they should have got back to all the people they want to interview by now! If your interview isn't until 2 weeks then maybe they will get back to some more people next week- wishful thinking anyway!!

O and buy they way I even got an email from CS saying that they had received my application in Tokyo- I applied to London-blimmin clueless!!!!

try not to worry too much about the verbal stuff- it's pretty hard to distinguish between false and cannot say half the time- just think of it as a 1 in 3 chanche, which is better than the 1 in 5 for the numerical!!

  • 29 October 2010 - 9:23pm
    • matt89

thanks! and no i haven't heard anything from CS yet, atlhough I their applications don't close until the 30th November I think, but to be honest I've had enough of them now!! Your interview is 2 weeks away so i suppose they can still contact me next week- I can live in hope anyway! HR prob don't work over the weekends.

Also, re. CS, I have actually done all their tests now- I did 8 in total after all their technical probs!!!! Have you heard anything back from them? And well done for GS- that's amazing!

  • 29 October 2010 - 9:13pm
    • betelgeuse88

@matt89 I applied to tech. Didn't do computer science though...

But tradman heard about 4 days before me and he applied to a different division...so I guess it really depends on the division you've applied for.
    My interview is on 11/11.
Hope you'll hear the good news soon.

Also it's a bit off topic, but as I recall you've applied to CS as well right? Have you heard back?

  • 29 October 2010 - 8:05pm
    • matt89

congratulations! I'm still waiting, although if I don't hear anything by mid next week I will assume it's a no! which division did you apply to? At least if I get any sort of email from them it will be positive as they don't actually reject people as far as I'm aware!! When is your interview?

  • 29 October 2010 - 7:54pm
    • betelgeuse88

I've heard back as well today...and it's a good news for me! :D

Anyone been to the first round interview yet? I'm wondering about this 30-min analytical interview...any insight on this will be very much appreciated!

  • 29 October 2010 - 2:06pm

I've applied to GIR too- have u had a response yet?

  • 29 October 2010 - 12:03am

    Tradman.. congratulations on the interview.

I had one with GS last year as well. Is this for an internship or FT?

  • 28 October 2010 - 11:01pm

GS GIR(or any) contact address anyone? It's time for kamikaze tactics...

    • 10 November 2010 - 11:04am
      • bebecent

      @radualex and Matt 89

I also applied for GIR division and OPS and havent heard any news about my application either...although both of my applucation status has changed from recieved to under revew....i think wot GS normally do is that they tend to call candidates they feel have got a much more stronger application ...when these canditates fail to scale through their interview process...then they call other applicants...rather that denying applications straight away....so i guess there is still hope!!!! please when u guys hear any news regarding your application please do PM me.....thanks

  • 28 October 2010 - 12:38pm
    • Happyguoguo

Hi ,Tradman27, that is a great news, Congratulations! Which division do you apply for?

Does anyone hear back from GS as well? I do not have anything... I apply for the back office...

  • 28 October 2010 - 12:18pm
    • matt89

Congratulations! This is really weird: my status was 'under review' and 'received' for my applications, then they both went to 'under review' and now they are back to how they were!! I'm guessing that if I don't hear anything within the next few days then it's a no-no, as I will probably find out in March!!

  • 27 October 2010 - 9:51pm

    PwC audit GS

  • 25 September 2010 - 4:41pm
    • Wikiman

    1) good question

    2) i dont think they changed it, you still have to wait until 18/10, I have heard back from other banks, but not from GS and I applied there earlier than at the other ones

  • 24 September 2010 - 6:02pm
    • bilbo12

    2 quick questions:

    - why do you have to state whether you have worked for PwC when applying for GS? Are they doing their audit ?

    - somewhere here I read that Goldman waits for the deadline before viewing applications, is this still the case or are they recruiting on a rolling basis by now as well?

    thanks!

    • 25 September 2010 - 7:09pm
      • xssb

      1) I'm assuming it has something to do with conflict of interest

      2) I recently sent an email to GS recruitment asking just this. I will let you know as soon as they get back to me.

    Hi ijwbs

In my case, the contact information was not provided. However, I was told that HR would be contacting me shortly regarding the status. Also, you can mail the HR who contacted you in the first place to schedule an interview - they're usually very prompt while replying.

Could somebody advise me on the application process at Goldman Tech (Singapore). I've read many conflicting posts on the exact application process. Is it round 1 > round 2 > AC? Or round 1 > round 2 > round 3 > AC? or 4 rounds and then AC?

    Thanks in advance.

    Pawan

I have just submited an application for a summer position on the same day as the deadline (6th Dec, 09) at about 2am. I got an error message at the end saying something like 'your action can not be proceed now' and a link back to the communication centre. As anyone would do, I freaked out badly. However, back in the communication centre it says that my application has received. But I still got some questions:

    1) are you not meant to send the application at the deadline date?
    2) after submitting the application, do you get an email confirmation?

    Thanks guys.

      Hey

I had a similar kind of problem when I applied, although it wasn't on the deadline date. I emailed them and they replied saying that I had resolved the issue on my own and said that as long as the communication center shows "app received", you're fine.

In my understanding, you can surely apply on the deadline date BUT you have to keep in mind the time difference as the deadline is midnight of some time zone.

Also, for goldman, you do not get an email confirmation.

      Hope that helps.

      Pawan

@SK22: actually, I haven’t ..I’m not sure that they would give me a proper response, GS really sucks at responding to applicants, I find JPM far better …

      Hi,

I applied via the same application site as the main application, via "events application" or something similar.

Not sure if they are still taking applications, give it a shot

      Cheers

    Hello,

I also applied to technology just before (or same day as) deadline day.

I received an e-mail today inviting me to a presentation/events day that I also applied for taking place this Friday, running from 11 in the morning until 5:30 in the evening. Basically the day is to describe the Technology division, what Goldman do etc.

My application is still "under review" and I guess this presentation is unrelated. However, I did notice they included an "expense" claim form in the e-mail and told my application to attend had been accepted. I doubt it means much, but I guess it will be an experience and I see it as a good thing.

I also know of a class mate who got invited to an interview a couple of weeks back, yet to hear if he made it through, this was also for Technology division.

Thought I would let other knows, make sure you keep an eye on your e-mail if you applied to something similar!

    Cheers

I applied to Asset Management and havent heard from from them either, I find their recruiting process quite mystical to be honest..

Everybody who wants to contact them:

    1) log in the applicatoin system
    2) click on the left side "Help Center"
    3) look for the topic about application status
    4) click "no" to the question if this was helpful and fill in you e-mail in the form

!!HOWEVER!! : I can really not recommend to contact them and ask about your application status!!!

I contacted them about my status, as it hasn't been updated for a while (under review) and I got a nice e-mail from HR, that basically said to shut up until THEY will get back to you. So there is no chance of a relief of your uncertainty if you contact them, they will contact you if they really have something new and they won't tell you anything that is not an accessable information anyway.

I read in another thread somebody saying how Deutsche Bank is recruiting, and I think this applies also to GS. It's a waterfall principle.. they have their target universities which are the 1st tiers in Europe, and they'll invite matching applicants from those universities first to fill up their positions. Matching applicants from 2nd tier universities are put on hold and kept warm (under review) for the case that some of the 1st tier graduates jumps off or whatever. Even if you're fitting and luckily to get invited: after 1st tier applicants. That might be why you're under review for weeks, why they dont tell you when they start recruiting, why you can read that other get invited while your status is under review, and why you're probably get rejected after you waited for weeks and still put hope in it.

I think if you haven't heard back from GS by now (me included) you should not have high hopes. What IB's normally do is not reject anyone until the actual positions have been filled, i know this is true with Deutsche Bank. It is so they can keep you as a back up unless anyone drops out. Sucks, but it seems GS are applying that method.

anyone know any contact email address for Goldman Sachs London recruitment?? need it ASAP!

  • 19 October 2009 - 3:02pm
    • IBD_Haunter

I didnt apply to Tech. The deadline is 18 October 2009 for all divisions. Since the deadline has now passed, you guys can except to hear back very soon! the first round interviews will be held this month or next months.

@CK - I am not about the exact recruitment process for Technology, but for front office roles, its is usually numerical tests at the GS office. and then if you pass, then first round interview the following day! and then ofcourse AC....etc..etc...

  • 19 October 2009 - 1:48pm
    • IBD_Haunter

GS contacts only after the deadline has passed! Never before that!

Goldman Sachs waited for the deadline (last Friday) to review the applications like every year.
They're not recruiting on a rolling basis like CS or Barcap.
