In the quarter of a century since RES was formed, the company have played an important role in the development of the global renewable energy market and have helped to move the sustainable energy debate from the margin to the mainstream.
RES have a portfolio of low-carbon energy technologies and a range of services which together can meet demand from the industrial, public and commercial sectors on various scales.
Large scale renewable energy power plants
[Edit]RES has been an established presence at the forefront of the wind energy industry for over two decades. The company's core activity is the development, design, construction, financing and operation of wind farm projects worldwide. With a portfolio of more than 4.5GW constructed and several thousand megawatts under construction and in development, RES continues to play a leading role in what is now the world's fastest growing energy sector. RES is also an independent power producer. They own and operate a growing portfolio of wind farms around the world, currently totalling over 550MW.
RES offers the installation of solar plants utilising either Photovoltaic power (PV) or Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) in North America and the Mediterranean region. We have the know-how, the resources and the project management capabilities needed to develop, construct and operate solar fields for large scale power generation connected to the grid.
RES has recently embarked on its first large-scale biomass power station development. The 100MW project in Northumberland in the UK will generate green electricity for homes and businesses, provide 'green collar' jobs and contribute to the regeneration of the area.

Renewable Energy Systems Limited (our main operating company in relation to wind assets); RES Enterprises Limited (a relatively new division which is committed to building integrated renewable energy technologies for the industrial, public and commercial sectors); and Inbuilt Limited (a relatively new division which is committed to providing technical and consulting excellence in sustainable built environments). These four RES Group companies are the group holding company and the main operating companies respectively of the RES Group, further details of which are set out below.
