Milkround

The milkround is the name used to describe the annual series of on-campus recruitment events organised by employers who visit universities to give company presentations, attend careers fairs and/or conduct first round graduate job interviews.

On-Campus Recruitment

Most graduate recruiters will only be able to visit a small group of targeted universities, rather than appearing at each one. The most well known graduate employers will almost certainly make an appearance at Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group universities, but are less likely to visit other universities, because of a perception that they will be able to find more of "the best" candidates here than anywhere else.

Company Presentations

Recruiters hold presentations with the aim of persuading candidates to apply to their organisation specifically. Candidates should be aware that these events are about careers in specific organisations, but not usually about those careers in general.
