The Corporate Generalist analyst program is a two-year rotational development program that takes place in Lehman Brothers' European offices.
Rotation And Group Placement Process
[Edit]As an analyst, you will be hired as a generalist and placed in a position within a specific group after an introductory training period.
You will participate in an induction program, attending various business presentations and events before being placed in one of the participating groups. You will then go through three eight-month rotations in one of the participating groups to explore the different roles and functions within these areas. You will be given training that will continue throughout the two-year program.
Rotation decisions are made based on the needs of the participating groups and the preferences of individual analysts. Analysts are placed into a role within one of the following groups after successfully completing the rotation process:
- Business Information Services
- Corporate Advisory
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Operations
- Risk Management
- Executive Administration
Career Progression
[Edit]High performers can expect to be promoted to the assistant vice president level within two to five years.
Training
[Edit]Upon joining the program, analysts will complete a minimum two-week induction program, which is reinforced by an ongoing development program. The primary objectives of these programs are to:

- Introduce you to Lehman Brothers’ specific technologies and internal processes.
- Help you develop the professional skills you need to be successful in the business environment.
- Promote social interaction and networking among groups and divisions.
