I have actually looked through the page but i wanted a more specific HP telephone interview questions. thanks for ur response though
The telephone interview will be pretty general and short (20 - 30 minutes). Telephone interviews do not usually have questions specific to the company (i.e. HP) - just q's about you, your CV and your experiences/competencies.
When's your interview? - let us know how it goes!
My HP Interview
The interview went well. It was practically divided into two parts. The first part was about HP. Questions like what are HP's business objectives? Why HP? I mentioned contribution to the society and I was asked how? HP competitors and how does HP stand out from them?
Then the second part, was about me, majorly competency based questions about the skills they need for the IT positions. Skills like change management, project management, team work, making decisions.
Anyway, I was told that I will hear from them in two weeks. so am still waiting. I hope someone finds this useful.
thanks man..
I have a interview on wednesday for the sales graduate development programme..I am pretty confident that i'll b successful..
Questions they asked me, including the ones sherify mentioned
What other markets is HP looking into or should look into?
What is the forecast for the coming quarter?
What interests you to (chosen field of work that you applied to), why?
What was your hardest/most difficult decision you have made?
What is customer value?
What is our corporate values for the coming year?
Who are our competitors, and in what markets?
Tell me about a project you worked on and had to meet a clients criteria, how did you go about it?
How do you problem solve, what software do you use?
whats you greatest achievement?
Why is HP doing better then it's competitors?
You mentioned international transactions, how is this part of HP's strategy and how is it helping with the economic downturn?
He asked me alot more questions then that list, but I cant remember all of them, but apart from that there where competency based ones, as mentioned by Sherify, he didnt mind me using the same scenarios, oddly enough there wasnt a structure to my interview, so the questions where mixed up and based on my answers. I thought it was a bit of an extended interview but I got my answer straight away, the interviewer was really pleasant, talked for another 10 minutes just about general economy and job stability at HP, he seemed to love his job.
I have a telephone interview today for the sales graduate development programme.
It was for 35 min in total. They told me to prepare academic Questions. But they didn't ask me a single question about my academics.
The interviewer was female and she was not at all talking like professional. She didn't even greet me I did for her. The strange part is that , she didn't replied and straight away moved to start interview. As in she was in a hurry.
I was very disappointed with the way interview happened
I was feeling very strange at that time. I was so well prepared for this telephone interview.
They were asking Questions mainly about your behavior. How you deal with it. Practical example for situations.
They are very much stressing on job profile which they are offering me. Would I be able to do that.
They changed job profile 3 times from starting to the time for interview.
Prove with examples Leadership skills, Time Management , Flexibility, Events ,Marketing skills, Negotiation.
Why you want to join HP?
Who are Competitors of HP?
How much salary you are looking for?
A situation when you are on your feet and need to take this decision?
Why you want this job?
About your CV?
How can you give sales to company?
Do you English, Arabic?
Do you have driving License..
What is your GPA?
In the past what have you done?
Do want to ask something to us ?
They said HR manager will review the telephone interview and will intimate in 2 weeks. Then again a face-2- face interview with HR manager.

Hi
I have a telephone interview for a Graduate Applications Support role. Has anyone had this interview before???? If so what kind of questions do they ask and how can I prepare????
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. :)
I have one today the 14th at 12.30, Please can you tell me how yours went and what type pf questions you were asked. I was told that the interview will occur in two parts, first part will be about HP, and the other part will be about myself. Any information will be helpful
I applied for the Graduate Application Support Consultatnt role with HP. Just got done with my interview, I am supposed to hear back in 2 weeks, I think I did OKAY... Questions listed above were DEFINITELY helpful.
The asked me...
Why HP?
What do I know about HP's business and products?
Who are HP's Business competitors and why?
Why are customers important to an organization?
Can i explain what the term 'Passion for Customer' means?
An example of a time I have proved good service to a customer.
An example of a time I worked in a team, and what role did I play
Other questions were about whether i was open to relocation, work permit status, and if the start date was negotioable. I had told the interviewer that I could only start after the 30th of september, but it seems like they were trying to hire for a proposed start date of 1st of Septermber.
- fingers crossed*
Hi can someone please tell me what the Graduate Applications Support role requires. It isnt very clear on the website.
What skills and requirements etc. are needed and what you would be doing on the job.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There isn't much information on the role available, The description says something about working with their application management services and ITIL processes.. Here is a link to the application management services.
http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/services/services-detail.html?compURI=tcm:183-845737&pageTitle=applications-management
That should give you an idea of what you will be doing.
Per the HP website its a client facing role, so I anticipate serving as a consultant to clients on how HP can help manage their applications, and what services HP offers and how the client can benefit.
