Golden hello

A ‘golden hello’ is a sum of cash, usually between £3000 and £7000, given to new employees as a bonus on joining. It acts as an incentive to applicants and helps new joiners relocate when they begin their jobs.

A golden hello bonus is typically coniditional and will have to be repaid if you leave you employment within a certain time period, usually two years, and is typically paid to you 6 months after joining.
