Financial statements

Financial statements are the legally required annual statement of a company's financial affairs at the end of an accounting period, usually one year.

They are addressed to the shareholders of the company.

They consist of:

• Letter to the shareholders from directors
• The financial statements consisting of:
  • Profit and Loss Account
  • Balance Sheet
  • Notes to the accounts
  • Auditors report
