Please have anyone had a telephone interview with Exxon Mobil? I need to know the questions asked?

whihc sheme did you apply for? I apply for the Finance one!

yeah its easier than SHL atleast you can go back and review unanswered questions, BUT u have to do practises.... its mainly currency, proportions, charts, ratio. There are alot of charts, cant remember all the topics. Its about 32 or more questions, cant remember but definitly more than SHL.

I applied for Gas and Power Marketing.

Yeah, just numerical. I sat mine just before Christmas, but still haven't heard back. How long does it take them to get back after the tests?

Has anyone taken the telephone interview with ExxonMobil? What sort of questions do they ask? Is it based on the competency questions from the application form?

yeah.... its competency based. I was asked resilience, problem solving and adaptability. But prepare two examples for these as she might ask u for two different scenario. She kinda interrupts u whilst u answering, so make sure you know what you talking about.

resilience has to do with your motivation, staying focused, re-assessing a situation and maintaining your effectiveness. Think of a situation in you rlife when you have combined the four factors above in order to overcome a situation.

just wanted to share my phone interview experience... had one for finance... but probably the same for all schemes... four questions.... going to give approx format of the questions...

Give me a time....(they also want to hear the outcome of each solution of yours)

1) When you worked in a team and you saw a trend/pattern that no one else in the team did

2) You worked in team and there were many solutions to select from...how did YOU make sure you selected the right one? (And a further question was asked about what solutions I came up with and why I thought it was promising)

3) When you worked on a project, and something new came up that caused problems in your project... something that basically almost threathened your project but then how you overcame that problem

4) I think this last question was about using your influence or communications skills...oh yeah...A time when there were different views in the group and how did you handle this, convince them about your view etc..

at the end you are asked if you have any questions to ask...

dat was my experience...

the interviewer was really nice/friendly..

will know the outcome in 5 working days...

dun think my went amazing...was just ok..

but they might change the format of the questions... but it is similar to those posted by previous people

Lol...no i didn get it..but tbh im not too shocked...my phone interview wasnt amazing..just ok... but now with my experience and sharing of question..ull be better prepared..

The numeracy test is alright. I think its kenexa and if you practice their test online it should give you an idea. Remember time is the key, so don't spend too much on one question.
If you can' do one have your best guess and move on because you will be hard pressed to complete all the questions.
