The compliance team's roles include:
- Provision of legal advice to the firm
- Ensuring necessary controls are in place to help reduce the risk of non-compliance
- Liaising with regulators over regulations and proposed regulation
Compliance teams may also offer advice indirectly to clients on compliance issues that may affect them.
