Compliance is a general term that means acting in accordance with all relevant laws & regulations.

Global Compliance Team

A compliance team, sometimes known as 'Global Compliance', helps ensure that a company complies with all the legislation and regulation within all the countries in which it operates.

The compliance team's roles include:

  • Provision of legal advice to the firm
  • Ensuring necessary controls are in place to help reduce the risk of non-compliance
  • Liaising with regulators over regulations and proposed regulation

Compliance teams may also offer advice indirectly to clients on compliance issues that may affect them.
