Cadbury

Cadbury is the world's largest confectionery manufacturer. The firm was formerly known as Cadbury Schweppes before de-merging in May 2008, separating its global confectionery business from its Americas beverage unit, which has been renamed Dr Pepper Snapple Group. Cadbury is the largest confectionery retailer in the world.

Cadbury UK also owns Trebor Bassett, Fry's, Maynard's and Halls.

Just want to comment on the appalling application process ran by Cadbury’s.

Posted an application to this company only to get an almost instant email:

“ Thank you for attending our assessment centre, however after careful consideration we will not be taking your application further”

WHAT?!?!?!?

I tried to email back but it was an automated non-reply address, but signed off as if it was a personal email. Does this mean that people can’t reply to emails to seek feedback even at the assessment centre stage???
I think Cadbury’s met their quota but dodgily didn’t close their application portal and so were rejecting people instantly (unless of course their recruitment team can read at the speed of light).
I have completely lost confidence in this company. After getting the recruitment managers email from googling her. She replied to say that someone else in the recruitment team had made an error, that after careful consideration my application had been rejected and the wrong email sent.

I guess this reveals either her inability to take responsibility for her own actions or the fact emails with her signature are not actually sent by herself.

Hopefully if Kraft buy Cadbury’s they will restructure the hr team.

That's terrible! I've been in the same situation in the past with other companies- it's just not cool. You're right to be annoyed.
