Baker Tilly hire approximately 100 graduates each year. Assessment centres and interviews run throughout the year, as and when vacancies become available.

Graduates can choose from six career paths at the firm:

Application Requirements

Studying towards a professional qualification with Baker Tilly requires strong academic ability. All candidates must have (or be expecting) a minimum of a 2:1 degree (or an ordinary degree if studying at or obtained from a Scottish university), at least 280 UCAS points (excluding General Studies) and a B or above in GCSE Maths (or Scottish or other equivalent, eg O’ level) in order to apply.

Training

At Baker Tilly graduates take a three-year course to qualify as chartered accountants. The firm pay for all study and revision courses at your first attempt only and support you through courses and exam leave.

Graduates can choose to study for any of the following qualififcations:

  • Certified Accounting (ACCA)
  • Accounting Technician (AAT)
  • Public Finance Accounting (CIPFA)
  • Chartered Institute of Taxation (ATII/CTA)
  • Restructuring and Recovery (JIEB and CPI)
  • Marketing (CIM)
  • Human Resources (CIPD)
  • IT qualifications

The three-year training programme includes in-house tuition in commercial awareness and business skills, audit and tax, management development, business development and personal skills.

Secondments

Secondments are available at Baker Tilly offices, or with the firm's clients across the UK. Graduates can also work overseas within the Baker Tilly International network.

Qualification

Once graduates have completed the Baker Tilly training programme they can follow one of two routes:

  • Executive Development Programme (EDP)
  • Transition
Both routes aim to develop potential Partners, Managers and Senior Managers for the future of the firm.
