Rupert Graham Evans and Toby Rouse have recently joined Bond Pearce's rapidly expanding Pensions team.
Rupert joined the firm as a Senior Associate in March 2010 from Blake Lapthorn. A pension specialist with several years experience in advising employers and trustees of DB pension schemes, he has also benefited from a period of secondment with the PPF, giving him a useful insight into the workings of the PPF and of the Pensions Regulator. Rupert also advises on pensions issues in corporate transactions (including business transfers) and has experience of public sector pension issues.
Toby specialises in pensions dispute resolution, defending solicitors and accountants and other professionals in negligence claims and advising employers and trustees in relation to Pension Ombudsman Claims and subsequent Appeals, interventions by the Pensions Regulator, funding disputes and applications to the Court in relation to the meaning and effect of Pension Scheme Rules.
Having trained at Lovells, becoming a Senior Associate in his time there, Toby joined Bond Pearce in February 2010.
The arrival of Toby and Rupert continues Bond Pearce's investment in its pension team following the recruitment of Maria Riccio in May 2010. The team works with major clients in both the private and public sector.
Charmian Leatt, Partner at Bond Pearce comments: "We're delighted to welcome Rupert and Toby to the firm. Their pensions expertise is a great asset to our expanding team which has seen 3 new recruits in the last 12 months."
