Graduate Programmesare available  in Asset Management, Credit Risk Management, Equity Research, Finance, Global Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Operations, Private Wealth Management, Real Estate Investing, Sales & Trading and Technology. 

We recruit across most of our our main locations, which include: Amsterdam, Budapest, Dubai, Frankfurt, Geneva Glasgow, Hong Kong, London, Milan,Moscow, Munich, Luxembourg, New York, Paris, Singapore, Stockholm, Tokyo and Zurich.

The graduate programme

The Analyst Training at Morgan Stanley is designed to provide our graduates with the knowledge and toolkit they require to quickly become effective professionals. Through a structured programme, graduates learn how to use Morgan Stanley's unsurpassed data resources and analytical tools, as well as gain a thorough understanding of the firm's culture, its core values and key products. It is much more than an initial structured programme in the summer when you join: every step of the way Morgan Stanley invests in its graduates providing regular training and development opportunities throughout their career at the Firm.

Summer internships

Morgan Stanley offers 10 week summer internships designed to attract, develop and assess the kind of people we feel are likely to succeed at our firm long-term. These well-structured programmes include training, workshops, senior management presentations and social events designed to give interns a unique experience in the financial services industry and provide a summer that is enjoyable and intellectually rewarding.

Summer Internships are available in Asset Management, Equity Research, Finance, Global Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Operations, Private Wealth Management, Real Estate Investing Sales & Trading and Technology.

Industrial placement programme

The Industrial Placement Programme is available in Finance, HR, Operations, Prime Brokerage and Technology and varies in length. The programme provides classroom and on-the-job training as well as valuable work experience. Recruits will be working alongside experienced colleagues on real projects and will gain exposure to all levels of professionals within the respective division. You will receive regular mentoring and coaching, as well as regular evaluation reviews to ensure your career is on track throughout your time with us and you continue to be developed along the way.

Insight programmes

We also run a Spring Insight Programme which is designed for those of you who have just embarked on your University degree and wish to get an insight into the different areas that make up Morgan Stanley prior to qualifying for a summer internship the following year. The programme is a great opportunity for you to experience our working environment and culture and explore the type of work you could be doing if you joined as an intern during  or an analyst after graduation. The programme usually takes place between March and April every year.

Requirements

In addition to the common requirements of numerical, interpersonal, communication and team working skills, graduates should focus on developing their negotiation, networking and entrepreneurial skills. Additionally, given today’s globalisation in the marketplace some divisions have demand for graduates with fluency in a number of foreign languages.

We recruit from all degree disciplines, however, some divisions require a technical or quantitative degree.
