Mazars Restructuring Services Trainee
Mazars has a national team of over 100 reorganisation and recovery professionals dedicated to helping businesses in difficulty. We work with each client to find the best possible solution for all stakeholders, whether it’s putting a recovery plan in place for a long-term future or winding operations down.
We advise a wide range of clients across the UK - from large corporations to major banks, law firms to government agencies. And because we’re a global firm, we work across international borders too.
What does a Restructuring Services Trainee Do?
As a trainee you learn about all aspects of what restructuring services can offer. You will learn about the key issues and processes and participate in a range of insolvency cases by supporting the case administrators: setting up new cases, dealing with case correspondence, inputting data on IPS (Insolvency Practitioners System). As you become more experienced you will also learn how to progress case files and complete case reviews.
How will we support you?
As a trainee, we will support you to develop the technical and personal skills that our clients look for. Will support you to study for a professional qualification (for example, ACA or AAT) which can then be followed up by specialist Insolvency Examinations (JIEB - Joint Insolvency Examinations Board).
However, it’s not just about the exams. Your development will be supported by on the job learning and experience but also, as you progress, access to excellent technical and skills training, to develop your depth of knowledge and also, client handling, business development and management and leadership skills for the future.
Academic Requirements
We look for candidates who can demonstrate a strong academic track record. Depending on whether you are a school leaver or graduate applicant, you’ll need, or be on track to achieve at least 280 UCAS points and you will have achieved, or be on course to achieve, at least a 2.1 in your degree, although the subject of your degree is not important. We also look for Grade B or above in GCSE English Language and Maths.
If you do not meet all of these academic requirements you can still apply. We look at every single application form before we make a decision, not just the academics. However, if you have not met our academic requirements please explain why on your application form.
Application Timetable
We do not have a closing date for this vacancy, so you can apply all year round. However, to avoid missing the boat we would advise that you apply as early as you can.
