Mazars Placement and Internship opportunities
We offer placement and internship opportunities to students who, as part of their studies, are looking to gain practical experience of professional services.
Placements are for students who are required to complete a year in Industry as part of their four year degree course. Our placement positions usually run from September to July and provide undergraduates with an excellent opportunity to gain a range of professional experience, working alongside experienced professionals. At the same time you will be paid a competitive salary. If your time with us goes well you may be offered a role to re-join Mazars on our Graduate Training scheme after you have completed your degree – which really takes the pressure off job hunting in your final year!
The work is important - it’s certainly not a case of just photocopying and making the tea! We expect a lot from our placement students: enthusiasm, professionalism, taking personal responsibility, being client focused, principled and independent of thought. You will develop your commercial awareness, client skills and team skills.
You will be assigned a buddy to give you guidance and support while with us and your manager will make sure that you have regular review meetings during your placement to discuss how you are progressing and will receive support and advice about your longer term career.
Internships are available in some of our offices for periods of between 2-3 months typically. The internships tend to be in the summer and is an ideal way of you getting some practical experience and a real insight into professional services while you are still studying.
Academic Requirements
We look for candidates who can demonstrate a strong academic track record. You’ll need at least 280 UCAS points and you will have achieved, or be on course to achieve, at least a 2.1 in your degree, although the subject of your degree is not important. We also look for Grade B or above in GCSE English Language and Maths.
If you do not meet or expect to meet all of these academic requirements you can still apply. We look at every single application form before we make a decision, not just the academics. However, if you have not met our academic requirements please explain why on your application form.
Application Timetable
We do not have a closing date for this vacancy, so you can apply all year round. However, competition for our placement and intern positions is high so to avoid missing the boat we would advise that you apply as early as you can.
Further details about all our programmes can be found on our careers website.
