During the two-year Investment Operations scheme you’ll immediately contribute to a team that is critical to our business, administering and accounting for some of the largest pension funds in the world.  You will have a rare opportunity to experience the broad range of functions required to operate a modern, successful investment management business.  

 

To succeed here you’ll need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, an appetite for problem solving and an agile mind.  In return, you’ll gain a unique understanding of our business through a series of secondments, with the opportunity to study for both the Investment Administration Qualification and the Investment Management Certificate. We depend heavily on our technology systems to provide the high quality service that our clients demand.  We have an established IT graduate recruitment programme and offer careers in Application Development or Technical Infrastructure.  

 

High calibre graduates will enjoy working with the latest technology in a busy but relaxed environment.  Our Application Development team works closely with users to design and build mission critical systems covering the full life cycle of a project from analysis through to implementation and ongoing support.  Our team of Technical Infrastructure experts helps to keep Baillie Gifford’s whole IT operation working smoothly and efficiently.  

 

 

 

We offer students in their penultimate year of university one of the most comprehensive summer internship programmes in the UK investment management industry.  Our structured programme of events provides an invaluable experience for anyone considering a career in fund management.
