how did your phone interview go? What sort of questions did they ask you??

Hi I had a telephone interview with TK maxx about 3 weeks ago. The lady said I would hear back after a week, however I have had no response...

Just wondering if anyone has had an interview and how long they took to respond.

That's strange, I had my telephone interview (for allocation analyst role) early jan and she actually told me on the phone on the same call that I had passed and I would receive online tests to complete. I received the online tests the same day and now have been invited to an assessment centre in Feb. I would contact them quick to see if you can get a place in the assessment centre - the office number is 01923 473000 from the emails I have received from them...

O Right cheers, yeah I might do. Its not the first job I want but I thought it was odd. I'm sure she said on the phone I would hear in 2-4 weeks and I didn't. Thanks I'll give them a call.

hey mini egg was the online tests hard? what can i expect?

Not done online tests for TK Maxx just a phone interview. Iv done them for a few other places. Verbal Reasoning is fine but the maths is pretty hard cos the time limits so short. Theres loads of practise websites though so I'd try that first

I never heard back after my phone interview.So presume I didnt get through.I emailed someone yesterday about it. Don't know what else to do really. I thought theyd have emailed me to say I was unsucessful. You know anyone I can email?

thats strange they told me straight after on the phone, i just asked them and they told me... id say call up or just keep pestering them by email.

The online tests were provided by SHL and were pretty standard as far as online tests go. I have recently done the online tests for some of the big 4 accountancy firms and compared to them the tkmaxx tests were slightly easier. You are required to do one numerical and I think the other one was verbal. I'm not sure what the pass rate was on these but it didn't seem too difficult, just practice lots before you do the real one.

Its pretty simple, 40mins or so.

They ask a lot about uni, what you liked and disliked. Also about the store you visited, make sure you go to one! Like what you saw and what brands. What you know about the industry and the role.

The lady I had was really nice and friendly.

She told me straight after that I got the interview.
