Nationwide interview

Hey,

I have an interview with Nationwide Building Society on the 7th of January, I was just wondering if anyone has any information about their interview techniques? Has anyone had an interview with them before? I used to work in a contact centre for Nationwide last summer, so I have worked there before, but it was nowhere near as good as having an internship. Still I performed very well so hopefully that will help me!

Any information on their assessment day would be great too as that would be the next stage.

Thank you!

Ryan

Which programme have you applied for?

ryanjaiswal

I applied to the generalist, graduate and industrial placement scheme.

I'm slightly confused by it now,

I passed their competency test and numerical/verbal tests. According to the website the next stage should be the interview stage, however on their website i've booked my interview and it now says this.

Interview type
Graduate and Industrial Placement schemes 08/01/09 14:00 Group Assessment

Group assessment should be the final stage according to the website though, that should come after the interview. I have previously worked at Nationwide, just in a contact centre not an internship. So I don't know if maybe they have moved me forward because I did perform well there.

Has anyone else had this with Nationwide?

Thanks!

don't worry!! it said this on mine as well, but mine wasn't a group assessment, it was a one to one interview, lasted about 20-30 mins. They asked me why i chose my degree course, what i enjoyed about it, how's the credit crunch affecting nationwide, and a few competency questions. I got through to the assessment centre, so if anyone has had one, if they could let me know what happens?! Thanks

I had my interview on 11th dec, got told i would know in 5 days, but i didnt find out till 29th! could be because of christmas though. Good luck with your interview/assessment centre!

hi yes, the questions are:
Why nationwide?
Why the financial services industry?
Why nationwide not other banks/building society?
What skills you can bring?

Competencies
A time you persuaded someone to your viewpoint?
A time you completed a project?
A time how you responded to constructive feedback?

GL!!
