Right, might as well get a new thread going for the AC. They're running 4 as far as I know, in between 02/11/09 and 09/11/09. All run from 0930-1630

Im headed to the 02/11/09. Any thoughts, ideas etc. post them here. Still awaiting the details of the day though.

Cheers

IBD_Haunter

which position did you apply to?

kito

HR leadership programme. U in?

kito

Alright, today I got details on the whole thing. Looks like a pretty standard AC. Some folk won't even make it past lunch though, tough break! The details are still pretty sketchy; numerical test, group assessment, competency interview, fact finding exercise.

If anyone knows much about fact finding I'd love to hear about it.

plintveld

There are still no date slots showing when I try to book my assessment centre online and it's been over a week since they invited me. I emailed them and they said "This is likely to be because the dates have not been released yet, keep
checking back and these should appear shortly." I'm wondering if maybe the assessment centre dates for corporate markets haven't been released and HR has? Has anyone applied to the corporate markets scheme and managed to book a date?

kito

Strange dude, maybe worth giving them a call?! I think corporate is assessed separately from HR, General Mgmt etc though so probably not too much reason to worry. Keep me updated.

hey dudes ive got an option to go to the AC on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th of november! However its in solihull which is about 3 hours from where I live, so its going to be a very early start for me! I applied to finance had my telephone interview at 10.45 this morning and was surprised to find out I have made it and such a quick reply too! Does anyone else have any other information of the assessment day at all? cheers!

lou2503

Does anybody know what the pass mark for the numerical test will be? Really worried about it?

Im going up on the 4th

kito

im going on monday. No idea about the numerical, Im not too stressed though. Reckon it'll be very similar to the SHL stuff. I think the point of it is to show that you didnt have 20 mates helping you when you took it at home! Alot of firms say something along the lines of "you will be tested again to confirm that you took the tests alone" so hopefully thats all it is!

Good luck to all who are heading to Solihull this week

arbi1000

Hey,

How have the assessment centres gone so far? I'm going up on Monday so if anyone has any tips that would be great.

Hope everyone's has gone well so far.

plintveld

Hi guys, can anyone give some information on what the assessment centre was like? I'm particularly keen on finding out a bit more about the fact finding exercise because I've never heard of it before. Thanks.

GeorgeV

Hi, I have an AC coming up, anyone had theirs got any advice?? Thanks.

ray_54321

Hi everyone, I have an AC for the Finance Graduate Leadership programme on the 16th November, and would most appreciate it if anyone here could be so kind as to give me any kind of information relating to the day. I am aware that there was an AC on the 9th November, but could not attend due to another interview, so would appreciate it very much if someone could help me out. Thank you in advance!

GeorgeV

Hi everyone,

Hope the ACs have been going well, I have mine coming up and getting really very nervous about it now! Has anyone got any much welcome/ needed advice after going to theirs? Any help would be most appreciated! x

student1000

Hi, so has anyone got an offer? I got one last week and was wondering if anybody on here also has?

kito

student1000

I got my for general management 2010. Do you know if there is a fb group or anything yet?

kito

good point mate. I havent had a look. How about we start one? You got any idea where you're working? Dont think I find out for ages yet, and theres lots of moving about anyways.

messierchippy

Hey Guys,

How long after the telephone interview did you guys hear back from HR about the next stage?

They told me we could expect to hear back after a couple days, but it's been more than a couple days with no words...

Any advice?

Cheers,

messierchippy

irina_v860

Hi,

For those of you who passed the interview stage, how do they let you know of the outcome after the interview: e-mail or telephone?

Thanks.

messierchippy

Hey irina_v860,

When did you have your telephone interview?

The person I spoke with said that I could hear from them within a couple days.

However, it's been more than a couple days.... hmm.

Cheers,

messierchippy

irina_v860

I'll have my interview on 14th December but I was just wondering if they'll call me or e-mail me to tell me the outcome because I'll leave the UK on 16 Dec for about 3 weeks and I was worried because if they call, they're gonna have to call outside the UK. Anyways, minor detail...

messierchippy, it's probably a good idea to call them and ask them about your interview. Good luck!

jamesclifford

Hi there,

I have only just booked my Assessment Centre for LBG - Finance (07/12/09).

Can anyone give any tips or perhaps an insight as to how the day went?

Thank you,

Jamie

messierchippy

Hey James,

When did you have your phone interview? And how long after that did they say for you too book an A/C?

Many Thanks,

messierchippy

jamesclifford

Messierchippy,

I had my telephone interview last Friday - I had to follow up on it yesterday where they tracked my application and confirmed I got a place on the AC.

I would advice you to call 0121 6965021.

James

messierchippy

Hey James,

Many thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Good Luck!

@ student1000 Alright mate well done- I got offered a place on general management too. Starting a facebook group sounds like a good idea. You had any contact from them since signing your contract etc?

jamesclifford

Pidge,

Can you offer any advice/tips in regard to the AC?

Well done on your offer.

James

James,

The assessment centre is pretty relaxed, but tiring. Make sure you don't panic on the numerical testing- its pretty tough but they don't expect you to finish it. I can't really give any tips though cos I don't have a clue what they were looking for!! Honestly just be yourself and remember that you're not competing against other people at the centre.

Honestly just try and relax though. The interview is more focussed on you as a person, the group exercise isn't really something you can prepare for and neither is the fact finding exercise. It's your ability to research, present and work in a team that they're assessing you on.

Sorry I can't be of more help and good luck mate

sem2uk

messierchippy,

I had to ring them up yesterday as it was over a week since my telephone interview and they hadnt gotten back to me even though the woman said 2 days on the phone. I got an email yesterday saying i was through to the AC, so I would definitely chase them up and ring up the graduate number thats on the emails.

Pidge

Would you say that the numerical test was a similar standard to the online ones? Also did many people get rejected at lunch time? Also was the interview more based on what experiences you had rather then the banking industry etc?

Any help would be great

Kind Regards

Rebecca

happy0914

messierchippy

Hey All,

Is anyone doing an AC for Corporate Markets in December?

I called them up and they said, "Oops sorry we forgot to contact you and said you passed..." WTF? (Seems to me they forgot to contact everyone after 2 days and we had to chase them down...)

Anyways, they said they had no AC for Corporate Markets in December and would resume in January, but we wouldn't be receiving e-mails until Jan to be able to book it.

Anyone else have this problem? Also, if your AC is in December, what role/programme is it for?

Cheers,

messierchippy

LilShorty

Hey Messier!

Yeh, I applied for coporate markets too, had my interview week before last and never heard anything. I emailed them got a reply within 20 minutes stating that they enjoyed our conversation and that I had been successful could I please log in to book an AC. However whenever I try logging in, no dates have been provided yet.

Gotta say I was disapointed to not have heard anything after being promised I would hear within two days. Seems everyones getting treated the same here.

Plus I have exams from the 6th to the 22nd so getting an AC, if they are in January, to fit around my timetable may be difficult. :(

Lloyds just did a presentation at my uni. They said corporate markets had 2 places left and that was last week. People they like after phone interview may be offered an ac for general management. The ability to apply will close very soon. Sorry guys but no chance for corporate markets

LilShorty

Think I would have preferred if they had just told me that. If theres only two spots left they should have closed applications already!

A Frustrated Lil. x

P.S. Just re-read my e-mail, even though the subject says Corporate Markets, the email body says Graduate Leadership General Management Programme with no explanation as to why I've been changed. Not feeling very impressed with Lloyd's HR department's contact. Feeling slightly let down.

messierchippy

WHAT??????!!!???!!!

Two spots left???????????? I am way confused now. I was just on the phone with the HR lady.

Well I was supposed to have an interview back in October but it got pushed to mid-November because they wanted me to tell them how to dial the States from the UK as they couldn't reach me. Uhhhh what?!?! There's a reason there was a "+" in front of my number. It's called you should already know. If they had known how to (which is something I would think HR would know or something called Google), I would have already had the AC by now and been done with this mess.

How do they only have 2 spots left? Are you kidding?

God must hate me.

What have I done?!?!!

I feel your pain Lil.

messierchippy

Why are they still doing presentations then??????

messierchippy

Hey Lil,

When did you e-mail them and when did they send you the e-mail to book the AC?

We better get those two spots.

adzy

and what uni was that mate?

happy0914

Hiya, i have my AC coming up for finance. Can anyone give me some tips please. I have no clue on what to expect.

jamesclifford

Thank you everyone for the advice!

I recieved an offer today for finance...

If anyone would like any help, just ask :-)

adzy

Thank you for taking the time to complete your application for the Lloyds Banking Group Corporate Markets Graduate Leadership Programme. Unfortunately due to the volume of applications we have received, we are unable to progress your Corporate Markets programme application any further.

Looks like student 1000 was correct

Cindyy

Hi all,

Does anyone know there will be a case study in AC? If yes, what kind of topic like?

Thanks a lot *_^
