OfflineBloomberg!! ...I keep trying to apply for journalism jobs but never get through! Either you need some ridiculously high amount of language skills... English, French, Spanish AND german!! ...or all they do is redirect you to their sales teams... Who wants to work in Sales!?!?!!

Bloomberg is super-competitive to get into. It's quite a good company to work for, in terms of training, social life and so on. I don't think you need a rediculous amount of language skills, but it's hard to deny that language skills are an attractive attribute.
The best way to start in journalism is through work experience; it's such a tough market to get into that you need the contacts, and you need to impress people, get experience and references that count. If you're any good, you won't have a problem after that getting in where you like.
