Hope your telephone interveiw went well. I just got an invitation to telephone interview as well. I applied on 1 Nov. Would you mind sharing some information? What types of questions did they ask you, how long did it take, have you heard anything back from them since then?

I have a coursemate doing AC this Wednesday... How is your telephone interview? what sort of questions they asked you? is that really 45 mins or can be shorter?

I applied the UK wholesale banking position as well, telephone will due on 17th,,,,need your input :)

Is your coursemates AC for Wholesale Banking? When did they complete the telphone interview? Telephone interview was around 30-45mins, mainly talking about experiences (both in Uni and personal life)relating to basic competencies. Nothing surprising or unexpected.

Yep, he applied wholesale banking in London. He probably did his telephone interview 2 weeks back, I assumed.... and it took him around 2 days to receive a feedback.

It was the standard interview questions: why scb, why banking, why wholesale banking. Example of teamwork, leadership and i got a question about motivations!

Please try find out everything you can about the assessment centre.

I just finished my telephone interview on Friday. They said they will let me know the results next week. My questions seem different from above, including what risk do you think SC may face, how will SC be in 5 yrs time...,

They will employ 10 ppl in london i think. Appreciate if there is any news regarding to the AC. thanks.

they say 5 ppl in wholesale banking division, or all together, totally 10 ppl in take this yr?

@ flowergrass, if you did not make it through scb would have contacted you either way to let you know how you did. I think they just have a lot to sort. did my telephone interview bout 3weeks now and not heard anything yet.

I'm not sure how helpful I can be because I've applied for Wholesale Banking. I assume it's Talent Assessment as they call,which basically was some sort of psychometric test were they ask you lots of questions and it's basically to check what type of person you are. Don't try to answer what you think they expect - just answer exactly what you think it's right, because same questions will appear again but asked in a different way so basically there is no way to remember your answers, hence it's best to answer what you really think it's true. To be honest, you shouldn't worry at all about this one! I have never heard about anything failing this type of test - well, you cannot actually fail them, because there is no right or wrong answer. They ask people to do these tests just to see if you fit in with their candidate profile!

I did the test a few hours ago, and it's as you mentioned a psychometric type of test with 18 sections to better understand your personality strengths as an individual. I am not sure what's next now (essay questions? I hope not..).

yep it is! I always questioned the accuracy for these tests though, I generally think it doesn't reflect the true attributes of a personality.. err nevermind, that's just my view.

I just submitted my application 2 days ago after finishing the psychometric test and the essays. Hoping to hear back for a phone interview. I applied for the Wholesale Banking International Graduate Program in the US. But for some reason the program for US applicants has Brazil in the title. I wonder if people accepted in the program in the US would start in Brazil?

GUYS BEWARE! YOU CAN FAIL THE ROLES STRENGTHS TEST!

I was invited to take the roles strengths test, when I clicked on log-in it failed to load. I refreshed and then a 18 page personality test appeared. I took the test with confidence, however after completing the test, I was immediately emailed that I have not been successful. I know I ACED the numerical and logical cause I have never failed a kenexa structured test in the past, and because I progressed to the next stage. I have emailed them, hopefully they will reset that phase.

Hi guys who has taken the 2012 online assessments kindly acknowledge coz i did the tests a week later was told had not done the logical assesment did it and was sent the strengths role assessment and since then no comunication after completing it my application is still under review

MI've also taken the 2012 tests and it says application under review, that's after taking the roles strengths assessment. So let's keep our fingers crossed and wait at least a week.

I was just contacted yesterday that I had passed the roles strength assessment and should proceed to the essaY questions. Wish me luck!!! Has anyone been invited for the phone interviews yet.

Sorry for the late reply, after the phone interview I got an email saying I have passed the 1st assessment. This was followed by another email asking to resend a copy of my CV while my application was assessed further. Its been almost four weeks and I still haven't heard anything about assessment centre. Has anyone else been invited to one?

I had my telephonic interview last week Friday the 20th and the lady told me they would get back to me in 5working days., and on Monday the 23rd, I received an email which said: My online assessments and telephonic interview was being reviewed. and that they would contact me in due course with information on the next steps and that I should check the communication centre for regular updates. I checked the communication centre and it reads "Candidate disposition: Successful afer first assessment" I am not too sure if this means I was successful in the telephonic interview or if this was updated after my online tests (refering to that as my first assessment because I'd never checked the communication centre before, was just relying on my emails)...does anyone know if this application status means I passed the telephonic interview or I should wait for an actual email to say I passed the telephonic interview?? Zeus777, would you perhaps know? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

hie ChidoChiChi, I have also applied for the Zimbabwean one and am still to take the role strengths tests, I am a bit scared though, what type of questions do they ask and what will they be looking for? Candidate disposition ............. means you have made it to the next stage (I think) but you can email them to confirm. You can also check your status on the SC website to be sure because if you didn't make it they could have just told you straight up.

I too applied for the Zim International Grad Programme. Had my telephone interview and was told I would get a response in 5days..... didn't happen. Emailed the contact us link on the graduate application page twice and got an automated response both times telling me to register to the website and then I can apply for roles.Totally irrelevant response since I was already well into the application process. I finally emailed a different contact us link telling them what had happened and that I had been waiting 3weeks for feedback on my 1st phone interview. The response was very prompt, they did not reply me but I got an email from the HR officer in Zim ( 8 Feb) asking me to come for the final interview on the 17 Feb in Harare.I thought the entire recruitment process took place here.

Anyway you might want to be proactive and contact them for feedback if you haven't heard anything yet as the programme apparently kicks off 1st April 2012. The status in the communication centre has not been updated to state I am through to the final interview tho

Zeus777 have gone for your AC yet, im still waiting its now over a month since the tel interview.
