hi jade/chelsea, would someone help me out as to how your assessment went with lloyds? I have one scheduled for next week, for the same role...customer advisor. Please help!

nnekdre

Hi jade/lloydsaspirer pls could u help me out with some tips on how the assessment center went i have one soon with the same role which is customer advisor pls any assistance will be appreciated thanks

nnekdre

pls could u help me with any tips on the assessment center mine is in a few days thanks

lloydsaspirer

Hi, the assessment centre is pretty basic. You have a face to face interview with an assessor, and they ask you basic questions which you have gone through during your telephonic interview. Basic things like times you have dealt with a deadline, how you managed a complaint from a customer etc.

Then there would be a role play, in which they would give you information on a supposed situation, and you will receive a call, from a fake customer, in which you need to act out as a customer rep, and advise methods, and solve the problems depending on their situation. You have nearly everything on the handout they give you, the only thing you need to do is manage your time, and thoughts well, and be attentive when the customer speaks to you.

That's about it, hope this helps, and you do well. As of me, I am still waiting on my ref checks.

nnekdre

Thanks a lot this will help a lot . pls do they tell u your performance immediately and how long does it take

lloydsaspirer

Yeah, they usually give you an answer within 24 hours of your interview. The next step, if you get through would be to give your experience, reference contacts, and the lot. They haven't yet got back to me on that yet.

Is your role for the customer advisor role starting 2 May 2011? Or is it for some other role?

nnekdre

ITS FOR CUSTOMER ADVISOR BUT STARTING 23RD MAY

Hey lloydsaspirer, I have just been to the assesment day ( personal interview) for a Customer Advisor role at Halifax yesterday (went great) and I was meant to hear from them by this afternoon. I havent got a definite answer in the dashboard but was asked to update a few details about my references. Did the same happen with you or they got back differently? Any tips would help,its been a very long 2 months of tests and interviews and I might just be too impatient now :-)

srithick

Hello there,

I just completed the online test for Halifax customer advisor role coventry. I completed 3 test (calculation, situational and matching test) what will happen next if I am succesfull.... please help me out

lloydsaspirer

@DJ25- Yes, it went the same, I was asked to update details about references as well, and I haven't still heard from them. But they did mention that I had gotten through the interview, and the next step was references, however the time it takes to get back, can be frustrating! Good luck!

@srithick- If you are successful, you should hear from them in an automated reply, saying that you have passed the test, and will be invited for a telephonic interview, and if you are successful in that, an assessment centre test (mentioned before in the reply) and then references. I think that would be it.

Hey @lloydsaspirer I have my 'selection event' in 2 days time, and am greatful to you for posting your experience, it has made me a lot more relaxed =) I was just curious, how long did yours last? I've read a number of different answers to this over the Internet, and would like to know if I need to prepare for a long haul process, or if it's relatively quick =)

@ aj.itzme- I have already posted about my AC interview above. Kindly read through the previous posts.

lloydsaspirer

@DJ25- Did you hear back from them yet, after your reference checks? Any email or any status on your online dashboard? Pleas let me know if you come to know anything. It's been weeks now, and frankly speaking, I am getting a bit impatient.

sathya.andu

hey I have recently applied for customer advisor role in Lloyds retail bank ... I have gone through the branch interview which was scheduled for 1 hr ... now i got a mail asking me to visit one of the nearest lloyds branches for half a day ... is it a part of interview ? has anyone been invited please give your inputs thanks !!!

srithick

Hello Sathya,

I too applied for the same post in Halifax. My first stage of interview went well which is selection event and I haven't heard from them until now. Its been 10 days. I am wondering about your process which is quite strange. Can you explain what exactly happened after you applied online and passed the online tests.

RachelJackson

Hey Sathya

I have also been invited to visit a branch for half a day. I don't think it's part of the interview, as on the letter I received it says:

'Whilst this is not an official part of the interview/offe rprocess we do feel it is vital that you "see" and "feel" what it will be like should you be sucessful".

So basicaly, I think they're saying, it's not part of the selection process, but they highly recommend that you do it. The letter also says that you're just there to observe a customer assistant, so I don't think it's anything formal. I'm going to ring tomorrow to arrange mine.

srithick

Dear Rachel,

Which post you applied for? and could you please tell me what exactly happened after you applied online....perhaps there will be 3 online test...after that?

sathya.andu

hi srithick !! i have been through quite similar process like you been ... but i got a letter stating to visit any local branch for observation of the role itself .. have u heard from them yet ?

sathya.andu

hello rachel ,

I have booked mine this friday so im a little nervous because even though they say its not a part of formal interview they doing this to check how we get on with things in the branch ... as we know their recruitment process has been changed since feb this year it used to be totally different as I have friends working in the branches and they havent gone through any of this .. So I presume that its tricky one and gotta see what happens

if ya can let me know when is yours would be great !!

DJ25

@LloydsAspirer,

 I had given the recruitment line a call 3 weeks ago as my Dasboard said Action Required : More information required. That left me confused and the lady on the other line said the "Information" was needed from the Hiring manager on which branch etc so I neednt do anything. She did ask though if I was aware

I had gotten through,I said I wasnt and she said,I'm pleased to confirm a verbal offer and well done on getting through. That was that until I recieved a regret email on 16th April saying I had allegedly failed a situational judgement questionnaire,I hadnt taken any! Got a Call next day from them asking me to ignore
the mail as it was sent out in error and that my application is progresing fine. They are waiting for the Consultants and hiring manager to send back the
paperwork. This is all I know and it is getting on my nerves a tad bit but I guess its waiting time till then.

How about you?

lloydsaspirer

@DJ25

When my dashboard showed 'Action Required', my recruiting manager immediately called me, and mentioned I am supposed to provide references and their addresses. I am puzzled how you were not asked for the same. I did that nearly a month back.

Well, my reference checks have finally come back (after sooooo long), and good news, I have gotten through! So now I am waiting for the contract to arrive in the post.

How about you? Have they got back to you?

Good luck.

DJ25

Ah! Congratulations Lloydsaspirer :-)

We seem to have similar results but in different order. When my Dashboard had showed Action required initially,I was able to click on a link
and provide updated refereces and that was about 2 days after my selection event. Since then it still kept showing first form submitted for a week.Later changed my location (the branch I am meant to work in) and showed Action required again. Upon calling them I was told there was nothing required from me at that point.

Last week I recieved a conditional contract (conditional on reference check) so bit of good news :) which I've signed and sent back but they will now begin the process on my references,I was told and then be confirmed a start date. Slightly different process to yours I think. Do you know when you start and were your references contacted via phone or email?

Heres Hoping :-)

lloydsaspirer

@DJ25

I am supposed to get a call from the hiring manager probably tomorrow, but the date is not sure yet, they are going to send me the actual contract soon, no conditions now, since the references have come through.

They were adamant on contacting the references via email, since they want an email from the company domain, rather than calling the numbers we provide.

When are u told to join?

DJ25
  • Lloydsaspirer, I'll get a date once the referencing is done I guess. I am perplexed as to what was going on for so long if they are about

to start on my referencing and why send me a contract but I'll wait today and give my recruitment consultant a call on monday.

I was thinking the start date would be 23rd May 2011 which is what it said when I applied online but it seems less likely now,did you have a start date
on your application? Although your selection event was a week before mine and depending on your location we may well have different dates or processes.

Keep you posted!

SarahPayne

I took a telephone interview at Lloyds TSB and passes that stage, then I moved over to the assessment centre stage

SarahPayne

the assessment centre was really scary in that respect.

i started out finding that I was unable to speak openly and felt that I had incredible difficulty in standing up for the presentation.

sathya.andu

@Lloydsaspire and @DJ25

hiya ,

Congratulations both of you on getting through the process and on grabing a job in lloyds tsb... well I just would like to know something ... I have been invited for half day observation of customer assistant role in the nearest branch which I attended couple of weeks ago.. now i got a call asking to book an appointment to have a quick 15 min chat with branch manager in local directory office ... do u guys know anything about where this is going to ?

 if you know please update me as I have that appointment this Friday ... anything you know like guidance or suggestion just lemme know it would very nice of you guys

once again congrats to both of you

thanks :)

lloydsaspirer

@sathya.andu

I didn't have the observation process. I am not sure which post you have been interviewed for, I am going in for the post of Customer Service Advisor. I think you may have been interviewed for a retail branch, and maybe that's why they have called you in for an observation.

Anyway, best of you for the rest of the process, and thanks for your wishes.

DJ25

@ Sathya.andu

Hey Thank you for the wishes. I would Ditto Lloydsaspirer's answer on this one as I havent had any observation process as yet. This could be because
we may have been interviewed for different roles,location and brand.

@ Lloydsaspirer,

I had a call from the hiring manager on the start date which potentially is 18th July. What about yours?

Cheers,

DJ.

lloydsaspirer

@DJ25

Mine is potentially on June 13th. Waiting on my contract to arrive in the post though.

jonnyfletch

I just had my selection day, i didnt have to do a telephone interview though all I did was those assessment tests online which apparently from what the guy told me today only 1 in 10 people get through so if your one of the lucky ones, congratz. I got there today and it was just an hour long interview 1 on 1 with this guy, just asking basic work related questions, he scanned in my documents and thats it, this is all for a customer advisor role. The only question I didn't ask was how long is it to find out when you have got the job? does anyone know that? cheers

DJ25

@ jonnyfletch

Congrats on getting this far and wow didnt know about 1 in 10 people,Thanks for sharing that. Guess we all deserve pat on the back for
attempting and getting through those online tests :-)

I was told to check my candidate portal 24 hours after the even to find out the result.When I checked it the next day,it asked me to update my references
and few days later I spoke to their recruitment consultant who told me I had gotten throguh. I believe you can give them a call in few days to check if you cant see anything on the dashboard. Hope it helps. Good luck.

savinasrai
