Yes i had .it was the SHL test

I applied for quant intern on the deadline day...-___-

and my application is still under review. no invitation for the online test.

though they asked me the language I'd prefer for online test.

I dont know what they are dealing with.

I appled for the JP morgan graduate programe 2010 about 25 days ago,then they sent me a numerical test last thursday which i completed and submitted on friday night and recevd a telephone interview confirmation on monday afternoon....

Hi Sumit, I applied for Ops 2010 and I have a telephone interview with JP next week. I was informed it lasts 1 hour and 15mins! It's the first I've experience for a telephone interview.

hello I cleared the telephone interview...but got rejected after the assesment center.. :(.In the telephone interview the business manager askd me : 1.who do u consider a leader today(any personlaity)? 2.Why do u think he is a good leader 3.what makes him a good leader 4.what are the qualities of a good leader 5.how did u persuade a group of people 6.tell me about a time when u(or ur team) failed..what did u learn from this experience 7.how do u plan for ur project 8.what milestones did u set for ur project

then the second interviewer askd me following qstns: 1.about example of team work,problem solving,leadership,innovative and then finally she askd me that i have been given a mobile phone..i dont have time to test it completly...what will i check and why?

u guyz wil be ok ....remain calm and dont rush...gud luk

anyone who applied to Asia heard anything yet??

Where interviewers ask questions such as "Who do you think is a good leader (any personalities)"? What do people think? Is it advisable to use someone famous so you can prove you've actually given a good leader or using an example such as your manager at work or something? I'm unsure as to how such a question would/should be answered. Would you lose marks for chosing someone they don't know of? What do others think?

u can use any personality from politics,corporate or sports !!!!

I came across the same problem you have there. Two days ago I was sent an email saying I was invited to first round interviews and should select a date for it. I logged on to my application area, I could see the link "Schedule for First Round", then I click on it but the page loaded was blank, nothing displayed. I tried many times it was the same. I did wrote an email to my interview co-ordinator reporting this issue but have not got any reply yet. How did your problem get solved in the end? Could you tell me so I can save some time.

i would give them a call if u have contact number...if not, keep checking the website and send them another email in 2 days...

It was IB Risk analyst. I applied on 12 Oct and got the invitation on the 20th. I rang them several times from the number they gave. It was voicemail every time. I left a message. No reply yet. I reported this issue to their technical team today from their website hopefully someone will get back to me. I have tried every approach I could to contact them but now all I can do is passively waiting...

No i didn't do online test. They straight invite you to first round. I guess they will give you numerical and reasoning tests there. Don't be discouraged, be a little more patient and hope to hear good news from you.

sorry ppl for a late post...i will tell u what to expect from the AC

1.A brief intro will be given to u regarding a problem facing by an organisation. A set of almost 15 emails will be given to u ...which discusses the problem within an organisation.These emails are sent from one departement to another showing concern and the effects of this problem on their departement.I was given a comapny(dont remember the name) which was having problem with data uploading of new clients due to the fall of one of their biggest competitor.Their delay has caused some of their new clients to look for other alternatives.Then as i remeber ther was a problem of clients ID duplication and removal of these duplicated IDs was taking allot of time.Then a email was sent from the trading departement saying that if the organisation will develop a entirely new system then the trading team will have problem in getting familiar with the new system and which will take time.One of the email was discussing about the stress the employees are having due to extra work preassure.

After reading all these emails u need to make a presentation of 10 mins(make sure its well structured..with intro,problem.solution,adva/disadvan of ur proposed solution and make sure to keep and eye on time.

its a 1to 1 presentation and after u finish ur presentation the guy will ask u to asses ur performance!!he will ask u what was lagging in ur presenation.then some similiar self awareness qstsn ...then he will also ask u to qstns about ur proposed solution.BE CONFIDENT

2.In the GD ...u will be given a sheet discribing three propsed solutions ,comparing each other at each leve.such as num of trained staffs...then location...clients coverage...etc...u will be given 15 mins to analyse the data and make sure u get some numerical data such as cost effectiveness(they will provide u cost per employee..then mainitainance cost ...u need to calculate the final price)..when the GD will start make sure u come forward saying thet u will keep a track on time(to impress the assesor ;) )....try to be confident and support ur argument with facts ..such as cost effectiveness by comparing total prices of each ...then at the end ur group needs to sugget which system should be used...ur team also needs to do a gant chart at the end determing the time frame of the software developement.

3.A self awarenesss interview...who will tell u to asses ur performance for the group discussion.he will also ask u how will u overcome the problems faced during the GD.then he will ask u qstsn about JPM why JPM.....what have u heard the worst about JPM....why ur division..what is the importance of ur division with JPM...what is the biggest challalenge faced by ur departement and how the departement can handle this situation....biggest compettrs of JPM and why...their current market position....what will u add to ur division...(thats all i can remember...but i believe there were few more qstns)

First half was situational questions.

who i thought was a good leader today and why.

What are the characteristics of a good leader.

What's the difference between a manager and a leader.

A time when I managed to persuade a group pf people. What resistance did I face and how did I manage it?

A time when I made an improvement in a project.

A time when I put in a lot of effort or initiative into something but failed.

A time when I planned a project/task, focusing more on the planning part rather than the project itself.

How do you prevent cracks from happening when under pressure.

Second half is motivational.

What difficult development/ challenges did I set for myself over the past few years, preferably something non-academic. What steps did you take to ensure you reach your objective?

A time when I showed teamwork. How did your team mates react to your contribution?

Why JP morgan?

Why the division?

What do I know about JP Morgan.

A time when I helped someone develop a new skill. What did you learn from it.

A time when I had to deal with someone in the team who was annoying and uncooperative.

i applied last month and they got back within 2weeks or so..was aksed 2 do d test quickly which i did and then had d telephone intvw shortly after.....and they got bak dat i shld attend d AC....

i wuld suggest you practice a lot abt ratio(converting them numbers to ratio and vice versa), percentages(increase and decrease in percentages of a number), how to evaluate graphs and stuff like dat..u can do some practice tests on efinnaceers....or u can also print screen shl examples 2 practise b4 u do d actual test....

I applied last year and got through to the AC. There was only one job on offer and I didnt get it. I did receive a very positive feedback and was actively encouraged to re-apply this year.

I did just that, as I was very impressed with 99% of the HR team and people I spoke with. JPMorgan is one of the most prestigious and meritocratic banks. Who wouldn't want that!

However, this year I applied to IB Risk (last year it was just called Risk) and was almost immediately rejected! I have no idea why! The only difference in my application is that my MSC mark went from a predicted pass to an achieved distinction.

I have emailed several times now, but with limited useful response.

Must say, I am very unhappy!

You must be pissed..... me i applied for an internship within the sales and trading div of jp morgan last year and was rejected. I wasnt even invited for online test. This year i improved my application style and rather went for operations and business division cos i have got interview experience within this division from Goldmansach last year for a placement which i didn't get. Now i have been invited for online numerical test for JP Morgan operations dept i hope i pass it.......

I received an immediate rejection from IB risk as well. Don't be sad. I guess they dont have many slots. They just sacked my friend from other division anyway.
