Hi,
I have been invited for a first round interview for Ops & biz services. Its a telephone based one. Is there anyone else who already did the interview with JPM this time. I have been invited for interview after 3 weeks since doing the numericals..hence I reckon someone who havent heard from them after numericals, have passed the test and its only about when they will hear from the HR for an inteview call. Pls post the interview questions if anyone already had the interview.

Hey Akoo

u seem like the boss here. I have applied for a graduate role in business and operations division London and i have been invited for online numerical test today. I have 5 days from now to complete it... i am so scared of this test. Online numerical test is one of the reasons that i never got a placement. The company online numerical test that i passed they always kick me out after the final round interview. I have failed so much of the numerical test and i feel this is a time for change. I am ok with verbal but numerical i find it difficult and also the timing as well is a disadvantage to me. Plssssssssss i am soooo desperate to pass this one..i can see that u passed yours please how did u prepare for it? how did u do it?? how difficult is jp morgan numerical test? did u finish your test if not how many questions did u answer from 20?? i guess its shl... Please advise me i will really appreciate it ...

Hi guy I've got an interview coming up for operations and business, unsure about what they'll ask if anyone can help/or has been through the interview I would greatly appreciate any advice, thank you! The online numerical for JP isn't that bad, it's similar to SHL.

Anyone attended their AC for Ops&Biz?

Could u pls share sth abt the case study&presentation, and group discussion?

Btw, there are 2X30min comp. interview, are the questions similar or totally different? If I were asked the same or similar competencies in the 2nd interview, can I use the same example or I need to think out different examples?

Any reply would be appreciated. Thx!

Hi, I got an offer for the IBD summer internship (and took it). Anyone else here that is going to be my collegue? Cheers

rheonomic

XIAO,

Your AC at JPM will most likely kick-off with an individual presentation first, during which you will be asked to prepare (using flip-charts and markers provided) and present your multiple solutions to specific problems/issues concerning Ops. It won't be very technical but I'd recommend that you carry out some readings on innovative trends in the sector (I happened to come across an article beforehand which helped me greatly during my presentation). This is an one-to-one presentation so as long as you connect with her/him, either through eye contact or appropriate body gesture, you'll be fine. This interviewer is going to be someone from Ops so give her/him every reason to believe that you're a pleasant person to work with. Of course you'll be asked questions about your presentation afterwards, about how you come to your conclusion and how well/bad do you think you did.

This then is followed by a 30-min group discussion. Though I cannot comment on the content, it's pretty standard stuff and I personally think it's easier than other firms'. As long as you make sure you contribute proactively, work on others' ideas, and stick to the time-frame allowed, you will be just fine.

The third part, which is the last part of your AC day, is another one-to-one interview with one of your future managers/colleagues at Ops. At this stage I believe you'd already had two competency-based interviews during your first round, and you are probably running out of examples to tell. Don't worry about it too much though. This interview will be slightly different than the previous two, and most likely more in-depth. Your interviewer will probe you and challenge you, as s/he tries to evaluate you as a potential colleague who will be sharing the same work space with them. You may use the same examples but make sure they are solid throughout.

Finally, congratulations on making to this stage, you've certainly come to a long way. Hopefully I will see you in Sept.

rheonomic

Arzoo,

The 1st round will be 2 competency- based interviews carried out either by members of the HR or Ops. It's all standard stuff and most of the interview questions can be found on this site. JPM is not recruiting heavily this year, same as everybody else. The AC before mine turned out 6 successful candidates, and ours 3 out of 6, which makes 9 offers already. Though I had my AC with people starting in Jan this year, all this happened in mid-Oct so I'd say the remaining spots are pretty scarce. So act fast. I spoke to one of the recruiters and she said the Sept intakes are mostly interns from last year, so my conservative guess of non-fasttrack intakes would be 15 to 20 (Lodnon). I got a feeling that JPM is likely to have some 40 to 60 recruits (nation-wide) for their Sept intake.

Hi

I have applied for Operations and Business Service (Long Term Internship) in Bournemouth and have finished their numerical test almost 2 weeks ago.

I have also sent an e-mail for my status and the reply was:

We will be in contact when we schedule our assessment centres

Kind regards
Graduate Recruitment

Does that mean I make it to the next stage? I am not confident at all but now I am staying cautiously positive. Anyone applied for the same programme and location? Any heard back? Any Comment?

Thanks
