farhan786

hi there,

have you had the assessment centre yet?

dgreat

@ farhan786

No, man. I don't know when they're gonna invite me but I am still open to any tips and advise that could be helpful. Anybody to help, plsssssssssss???????

farhan786

they gave me an invite for friday (29th oct) but then called me a day before to say the session has been cancelled and more dates will be launched next week. When did you submit your application? and is it for grad role or internship?

dgreat

@ farhan786

I submitted my application some time ago. I did the first round of interview last Tuesday and it was for a graduate role - Operations and Business Services. What role is yours for? and is it grad or intern?

dgreat

@ farhan786

What format did they say the AC was gonna take in the earlier invite they sent you? I mean, will they be role-plays and in-trays????

farhan786

I'm going for internship in operations so I only have to do an assessment centre. You will have to do a case study presentation, group exercise and 2 one on one competency based interviews.

Do you mind giving me a detailed overview of the first round and what questions they asked you? I will get back to you with more info on the case study and group exercise as soon as I find some.

Cheers

ScieFin

there might be a numeric test to validate the online test you have done. But I was told it is gonna be relative easier (without the calculator tho). @ fdk786, when is your interview? Mine is on next Tuesday, first banking interview for me too.

farhan786

Oh ok. I didn't think there would be numerical for internship. But oh well need to brush up as I haven't dne numerical since jp morgans online one!

Hey dgreat,

starfall75

@fdk786 I had mine yesterday too. How did you find it? I found it pretty much standard, but there were some out of the ordinary questions too. Any word on when you will hear back?

fdk786

there were some different questions but all in all, i found it quite good. the interviewers were really friendly so that helped quite a bit. tbh i actually heard back from them a couple hours later saying i was through to the next stage.. hopefully youll hear back soon too

starfall75

Oh wow! Congratulations...:) yea hopefully they'll get back to me soon, the suspense is too much to handle :S

fdk786

where did you have yours? in London?

danielle0320

Congratulations :) what sort of questions did they ask in the interview?

starfall75

@fdk786 Yeah for London, but since I'm abroad, I had it over the phone. Also, just got an invite yesterday for AC, so yay!

fdk786

congrats :D !!! nw comes the real hard part :S loll

@danielleo320

basically there were 2 rounds, the first round was a situational based inteview, ie giv an example when youv shown...; leadership, made a mistake, faced a challenge, etc

the second one was more motivational, such as, why JP, why the department etc. and giv a recent news article.

all in all wasnt too bad tbh

This thread has been quiet for a while. Can i ask if anyone has had an AC for the grad role in Ops and Business Services London? I have one coming up this Friday, so any help or feedbak would be highly appreciated :)

C.L

Hello can anyone please give me some tips because I'm invited to the Operations AC this Thursday, it's a summer internship~

In that 2 competency based interviews, what questions are typical asked? I'd greatly appreciate if you can give me a bit details about case studies/presentation and group exercise. Thanksssss a lot. :)

W_B

Hi CL,

I have an O&BS AC coming up for Summer Intern, could you give me an idea of what came up in yours? Did you hear back yet? Thanks

Cesc_04

when is you AC?

W_B

Thursday

C.L

Hi W_B,

It consists of 4 parts: 1. Presentation (45 mins preparation and 10 mins presentation with marker and flip chart, then Q/A for like 10-15mins) 2. Group Discussion (same topic as the presentation one but discuss different issues, everyone has some different sheets) 2. Situational Interview (basically competency q) 4. Motivational Interview (why jpm, why O&BS and some competency q again). Actually u can go to another thread called 'JP Morgan Operations Assessment Centre' cuz u can find everything u need! I left my msg here and then i found that thread so i sorted out everything. It has quite many details about every part. Good luck and update me with ur result!

P.S: I got offered after a wk. So do you know how many AC slot this time?

W_B

Great, thanks very useful! I'm not sure how many slots - there were 5 for this week..

Hello everyone,

I attended a JP Morgan Graduate AC recently and now I believe I should add information here as wikijob has helped me a lot to prepare.

For the 1st round I had 2 interviews: A time when you Should persuasion, Worked in a team, Showed personal development, Showed Planning and Organizing,

There are 3 competencies per interview(6 in total) and some motivational questions such as Why OPS, why your chosen location, why JP. Also both interviewers will ask some piece of news and will want you to reflect on it. I, however, was asked 2 pieces of news.

After being successful at the first stage, you will be invited for a final round. This is an AC which consists of 3 stages.

Presentation: 45 minutes to prepare the presentation on flip charts and 10/15 minutes on Qs and reflection on the presentation. The setting is that you are a business manager at a firm which has bought another firm. They want you to highlight ways in which the payroll processes can be improved since in a previous merger they had quite a lot of problems. The manager will ask Qs on how you think the project can be undertaken, improved. The reflection part asks about your weaknesses and how you could have improved on them. Have you convinced me is another Q.

Group Ex: Now you all are given some more material on the same case study and are asked to come jointly on a decision of which strategy to follow. Pretty straight forward if you use the normal Group Ex techniques.

Interview: This interview involved reflection on the group ex. What was your weakness, groups weakness, how could you have improved and stuff. The other half was on Y JP, Y OPS, Which division in OPS.

Hi,

I got an AC next week which included 2 interviews, group exercise and written exercise. Does anyone can provide me some information about the the written exercise?

Thanks a million. .

Hi all! I have just received an email from JP morgan saying that I will be invited to an AC in a "few weeks" but no date. Nothing on my online application either. Is this the normal process or should I worry that they will not contact me unless some better drops out?

Thanks!
