bank of america merril Lynch
Has anyone else applied to them? Quick question, if after the numerical test you get the additional question link have you passed the tests? thanks
its not SHL, personally I thought it was easier tbh but that might be cos i'm getting better at doing these tests :)
hey, I wonder how you can open the link for europe positions.
their website sucks!
That's most of these graduate website. If you think this sucks, try Credit Suisse. Even more sucky!
Received another email from them said they r still working on it and asking me to wait patiently bla bla...
Any sign that indicates you pass the test? Will they send rejection immediately after the test?
If you pass the test you will get additional questions to answer. If you fail email pretty much straight away I think. Thats what they told me anyway.
How is the test anyway? They have numerical and logical test right? They dont have verbal test as much as I remember.
sj2886: really? i dont get any additional questions to answer and I don't get any rejection straight away. That's strange.
oh ok well ive applied to tech in london so probably different sorry
also i only had a numerical test not a logical, maybe i'll get that later an interview or something - if i get that interview that is.
S.Le: I didn't do well in the test so so my answer would be biased. It's more difficult than the practice test they advise us to do in PSL. I didn't get rejection for the numerical test though. By the way, I am applying to the position in Asia.
do u guys know what would be the starting pay for a Technology analyst ?
do u guys know what would be the starting pay for a Technology analyst ?
@cooldudehere70 I think it's about £32k-£35k, full time (not internship)
anyone heard back anything after submitting the application???
for full-time positions? any division?
I've been told that they are waiting for the deadline to pass before they start inviting people to the first round of assessments.
ive got a first round interview on friday - tech division. anyone else??
hey i've passed the test for merill lynch/boa and applied for the research post. I wanted to know how the first round interview is and the type fo questions they ask>??? please let me knw and also how long do they take to get back to you after you submited the full application form??
Thanks
I submitted my application (Capital Markets - Sales) to BofA around early Sept and took a numerical reasoning test right away. Haven't heard anything back. I called them up and on the first occasion the HR person said that they'll wait for deadline to contact applicants. Recently called them again and this time a woman told me that they're doing it on a rolling basis and according to her the Markets division just started digging the applications?
Anyone applied to this division hear anything back from them yet?
I've applied for sales EMEA, just wondering anyone has taken any numerical test for that position. I should take mine soon. please advise.
hey yea i've applied for the EMEA research position and have taken the test some while back now. Its ok i guess its not SHL its some other one but seems a bit ok then SHL!. You need to know ur percentages, ratios and times tables as they ask you questions relating to graphs etc...im still waiting for a reply havent heard anything back yet...
the BofA numerical tests are automatic. You first fill the application form, then you get invited to the numerical test straightaway. After you give the test, you complete the rest of the application which are comptency-based questions.... BofA will get back to people after the deadline has passed! not before that!
hey IBD_Haunter what positon have you applied for and are you still waiting for feedback??
Do you knw what the next process is after the application form??
For technology, I've heard some people have been invited to first round interviews for BofA.
@tommy_86 - yes, tech people has had interviews. I spoke with a HR guy from BofAML, he told me that they will wait for the deadline and then contact people for IBD and Markets.
@stealth - i applied for IBD. the next stage is interview ( i think its face-to-face)
I've completed my application 2 wks ago, but haven't got any feedback from them, except for a confirmation email.
Does that mean failure?
Anyone else applied for Custody services/ trust management graduate in BoFa AML?
I have taken the numericals & completed the competency questions after that 2 weeks ago.
Haven't heard back form them yet
hey everyone, i have applied for the reserach analyst role, has anyone heard back from boaml yet???
I heard back from BofA after taking the numerical reasoning test. Sadly I failed massively on the numerical reasoning. Well it was the first time I've take one and now I know what to expect. I did the practice questions they gave out and they were pretty easy to do within the time limit :(.
It's a good thing you haven't heard back yet.
oh really?
when is the first AC or is it phone interview as first stage?
Any ideas about the interview structure or questions they may ask?
@hazelground - dunno the details mate. i know someone who has the first round this week, dont have any details! but i am assuming the bulk of the invites will start next week, since the deadline is this week.
Hey sj2886, how was the interview? how did u find the logical test? have you heard anything back from them. i have got mine on wednesday.
hey, pritesh - you got the interview on wednesday, when did they contact you? was it a particular team or the HR?
sj2886, pritesh
I applied for tech division as well. How long did they take to get back to u. I sumbitted my application yesterday. Hope its not late.
I've sat the online tests and passed them but I haven't heard anything back yet & that was at the start of oct.
Applied for tech in London.
Hey IBD_Haunter,
How do you know this? Have you called the graduate recruiters?
Cheers,
messierchippy
@IBD_Haunter
that's terrible news!
what if we dont get any rejections today or tomorrow?
what next? :))
umm sorry didn't mean to worry you lot its just that I received my offer a couple of days ago but they might wait till offering more. What assessment centres were you lot at?
know a few people who has gotten rejections. so far, no news is good news. remember the deadline is tomorrow!! so, they are still reviewing all the applications. So, you can expect a massive string of rejection mails or interview invites soon!

Hi sj2886!
How was the online test you did for BoA/Merrill Lynch? Is it SHL-like or more/less difficult?
Many thanks.
