I also have a telephone interview with AMEX coming up. Any advice will be appreciated??

Same...client management & have interview coming up this week. Can see you had yours today, how did it go? I would ask what sort of questions were asked...but dont know if you feel comfortable saying seeing as we're going for the same area haha

Yes I had mine today. I don't ve any qualms sharing with u. I was told it would last for 30min but by my watch check, it lasted for 19.38mins. It was basically 2 competency based questions: 1. A time u came up with a new way of doing things and how u convinced others to 'buy' ur idea. 2. A time u had to meet with conflicting deadlines, then one or two follow up questions. The interviewer was quite nice (a guy). Asked about my right to work in the uk and which other companies I ve applied to. Hope these hints help. U can always revert if u need more information. hey guys...I am in similar scenario as you all ..had my t-interview with Amex for CLM grad scheme. Went ok and hopefully we all will meet each other on assessment day.

P2P: Have you already heard from them or what exactly you mean by got over in 15 mins.

G-host : when did they mention they will come back to you. To me they said within 2weeks.

The interviewer wasn't clear about when though he said they are trying to conclude all interview and AC would be in April and May. I thought the next stage would be invitation to online assessment as stated in their website, or ve they decided otherwise?

@G-host. Lets both wait and see what is in stock for us. But he mentioned next part will be AC, don't know what's going on :). Will be in touch.

Well, I applied fot the Sales Management stream & was asked to answer a couple of competency based questions, 3 to be precise:-

1> Tell me a tme when you used your communication skills to influence someone's decison?
2> Tell me a time when you had to maintain both quality and consistency?
3> What motivates you to apply to American Express and why the Sales stream?

After this Iwas asked for my eligibiity to work in UK.

There was no mention of any online assessments and I was told that the results will be conveyed in the next 2-3 weeks. I think if and all any assessments, would be paper based at the AC.

Will keep you guys posted with any further feedbacks.

hey fin_28 no prbz, had my t-interview and they asked pretty much the same questions you mentioned so thanks for that.

well he said that gunna have to wait for like 2 weeks to find out the outcome, and then you have to attend an assessment centre if you done well.

But looking at the application process i thought the next stage is a test, and then if you pass that then you go to the assessment centre. hmmm just have to waiy and see i guess.

how abouts you, you applied anywhere else???

I think there is no more test, but AC. Probably they mentioned it in May.

I had my t-interview last week. They asked me exactly the same questions as p2p. All lasted for 17 minutes. Got the feedback today, and now waiting for the assessment centre which will be in Brighton in 2 weeks.

@ Nodelma what role did you apply for??

So have they contacted you and confirmed a date for the assessment centre already, if so that was quick.

I'm still waiting for them to contact me maybe they do it some time this week or next week???

I applied to Project Management Stream. And yes, they have already confirmed the date.

When I was interviewed the actually said they would tell me about the results in the end of March and assessment centres will be in April and May... So I am pretty sure you will hear from them next week or even tomorrow.

i just had my AC for Project Management. It consisted of two parts: case study and competancy based interview. The case study was not too difficult. You just need to use your common sense and then present the results of your analysis to the interviewer.
The interview itself took about 45 min. Everything was very straight forward.
