And as for traveling plans, I have not yet booked a spot on the train, but I am going to be traveling from London Paddington to Bristol Parkway.
TomDon, congratulations on getting the AC!
Have both of you applied for the Actuarial Student Programme?

IBIS allows check in from 12pm so will plan to get there a few hours before the dinner and I think meeting up prior will be a good idea. We'll arrange something once we know the times.

As for the presentation- anyone know what that's going to be about? I was thinking that it could possibly be just after the group exercise...
It doesn't seem like something you could prepare for.

In the email it says 'analysis presentation' that sounds to me to talk about some pros and cons, argument and supporting facts, probably recommendations. Just some of my thoughts, we'll see and wish you all best of lucks.
JK
hey guys it was great meeting everyone... keep in touch and do post who gets the offers...:)
best of luck
Hi all, has anybody got any results yet? Do you think AXA will send out the result at the same time for everyone?
I'm still waiting and congratulations if you already got the offers. Keep in touch and best of luck.
JK

Hi,
I have an assessment centre coming up for AXA Insurance Actuarial (General Insurance) Graduate Programme. I was wondering if anyone could detail what happens at AXA AC if anyone has been before, as I am very nervous and don't really know how to prepare. How did you prepare for the AC? Also, what is the anaylysis presentation? It also says there will be a group exercise, written exercise. Can anyone give me more information please.
I would really appreciate it. Thanks! :)
Hi,
Could any one please share their experience of the assessment centre. Is there any useful hints that you would like to give in order to success in the assessment centre.
Your help willl be appreciated. Thanks :)
I have an assessment centre coming up for AXA Business Graduate Programme. I was wondering if any could provide their experiences of the AC? Also it would be much appreciated if some one can provide me with more information regarding the tasks involved as well as tips for the day.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks! :)
I've got an AC with AXA for the Actuarial Student Programme on the 16th of Feb at Ipswich..is anyone going for that AC?
hi,
the best tip i can give is be yourself... be humble... interact well... give other people chances to contribute and contribute yourself as well...
and also try to include people who are not trying to talk...
the aim is to shine with a team not just try to outshine every one... as that comes across as arrogant...
competency interviews can be with any one... basically... examples to ur leadership skills, dealing with adversity, communication, team work etc... pretty common.
VERY important... lunch time is not for fun... interact with the assessors ... express your enthusiasm for the role...
best of luck
Hey guys, I am going to have an assessment centre on the coming Wednesday in Bristol for Actuarial Graduate Scheme. Could anyone share some of your valuable experience of AXA's AC? I would like to know more about the tasks and questions asked during the interview. Would the interview during AC similar to the first interview? Since this is my first AC, these information would be very useful to me.
Anyway, your sharing is deeply appreciated and I am looking forward to work with you guys if I succeed.
Thank you very much
Hi j3nny3tt,
I went for an AC a few weeks back for Axa Actuarial Graduate Scheme. We had an interview, which was purely competency based; a group discussion, where each of us where given a particular task ans we needed to go through few information and reports to identify three priorities...nothing to worry about, cause it was really the easiest group activity I have ever had. We had one analysis presentation, where you are to read a few reports and present your recommendation based on that. You will have plenty of time to prepare for this. There was one written exercise, where they ask you a few insurance related questions, but they do mention that they are not looking for your expertise in this area, rather it tests your general knowledge.
AXA AC is one of the best AC s I have ever had, they make your feel comfortable, a lot of socialising, a lot of graduates, students and assessors come and have chat with you, I thoroughly enjoyed the day;
I guess I am bit late to post a reply, hope this helps and good luck with the AC
Thanks
Hey Jobseeker'10,
Thank you for the sharing of your valuable experience.
The information was indeed very helpful for me when I did my AC on Wednesday.
Currently, I am still waiting for their reply and hopefully I can get the job.
Fingers crossed.
Thanks
Hi j3nny3tt,
I am glad that my post helped you with the AC. I also got a positive reply from them recently. Hope you get through too.
I was just wondering if there is any one else who got a positive reply from them.
Thanks
HI jobseeker'10 ,
First of all congratulations for the job, I am going for my AC this week with AXA, Could you please tell me a little bit more about the group activity and Analysis presentation. As it was my first AC, I want to go there with some preparation and It would be helpful for me if you share some of your experience.
I would deeply appreciate any of your help.
Thanks
Hey Vibe531,
Thanks.
The group activity was pretty simple, you have 4 pol in a group n each of you have a different report and you have to identify three priorities as a group. It's quite difficult to prepare for a group activity on your own, I would suggest make good rapport with everyone so that you can have a good discussion. The Analysis presentation was a bit different, you are given a project and a few reports regarding the project, you have to go through them to make a decision and then make a presentation as to why you took the decision.
Thanks
Thanks Jobseeker'10
That was quite helpful, so If I am not wrong, in the group activity you all had different reports and you have to discuss about the priorities you can come up with and then their pros and cons, and finally decide three as a group. May i ask how long was this group activity is and Is it a general scenario or business specific?
Also I want to know that how much you have been given for Analysis presentation, Is it sufficient to read all the material provided? And Give me some tips for the presentation please if you can.
Thanks Once Again
Hi Vibe531
I guess I'm a bit late in responding. Did you already have your AC? If not I'll pm you and if yes how did your AC go?
hello jobseeker'10, i am attending my AC very soon and if you could share your experiences with me, i'll be really grateful.
Thank you very much in advance!
Hey guys,
I have been invited to take the AXA SHL online tests. Seeing that you have all progressed to the AC's, I am keen to know what the tests comprise of i.e is it just numerical and verbal or numerical, verbal and abstract tests. The test email does not specify the type of tests.
thanks in advance!!!
Hi mate,
I have an AXA AC coming up very soon and was wondering whether you will be kind enough to recall your experiences from your AC. I know yours was some time ago but whatever you can remember i.e. whether they do random SHL tests? types of exercises through out the day, any pointers and suggestions, the written exam etc- basically anything you can help me with will be really appreciated. Cheers
Jay
is anyone else attending the AC on 18th July- next Monday? if you are please PM me- we will get in touch!
Hi Jay,
Hope you are well. It's truly been 6 months since I had AC with AXA, so can't remember much now. I did write the details of the day in the forum soon after my AC. There was no SHL test on the day. There was this written exam for which you need very basic knowledge of insurance, like what to consider before issuing a car or travel insurance and what all are covered. You know how the face to face interviews are like, as you should have done one with AXA before being shortlisted for AC. I guess I have already discussed the specifics of GD in the forum. For presentation, you are given a report which will have two possible conclusions and you have to opt for one and have your logic behind them. Although you will have enough time allocated, in my opinion keeping some time to prepare your presentation ( they give you papers and pens) would be a good decision.
Do let me know if you need anything else and good luck with the day.
Cheers
Hi
I got an interview with AXA coming up very soon .. just wondering if any of u have any advice ..
thanks
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone could give me some examples of questions asked in the first interview as i have mine in a few days?
Kind regards,
SC2012
I just has my interview yesterday, which was purely competency based questions. Firstly, they will ask some general things like why AXA, why do you wanna be an actuary, what motivated you to be an actuary, how you gonna manage to study actuarial qualification while working, and then the second part was about giving specific examples for each graduate competency area, which you could easily find on AXA career website, including teamwork, leadership, time management and so on. It last about one hour, though it says one and half hour when you booked your interview.
thanks alot :D.. i have my interview tomorrow.. what location are you hoping for?
Thanks alot tiffany123 .. thats very helpful did u have urs in London or Ipswich??
And good luck SC2012 ...
Thanks a lot and best luck to you too nhl01, when do you have your interview?,
