(Sub-) Human Resources...!

Why are some Human Resources staff so mad!!? Admittedly some of them are on the ball, intelligent and professional, but the more interviews I go to the more I realise that a large proportion are muddled, confused, half-wits!!
I've been told to go to the wrong place, at the wrong time, given the wrong info, sent the wrong emails, not told of job offers (and rejections) and I dn't know why!! It can't be that hard a job!! ...it seems that HR at smaller companies are the worst... OK, HR at big companies are usually alright. And quite fit too ;)
