Highways Agency: Written exercises and role play - graduate assessment day
Posted 16 February 2009 - 11:08pm by Way2success
Hi Guys!
I am about to go to my first ever graduate assessment day with the Highways Agency this week and I have a written exercise and role play to do on the day.
Could anyone that has done it before give me some tips on what to expect from each one of them?
Even if you experienced it from a different organisation!
Yes, it's the Engineering Graduate Scheme.
thanks Redsuperted! Any other tip?
Have you seen - common interview questions and interview questions & answers? Also good.
When's your assessment? Have you been to any other engineering assessments?
I have checked graduate competence interview question but not those ones!
This is my first assessment ever; I have only done phone interviews so far.
Hi. I am about to go to the highways agency assessment. Also my first time. Was wondering how way2success found it. If you have any tips, that would be very helpful. Thanks
Hi gurmitbath,
Sorry but I have been offline for sometime, hope my response isn't too late for you.
The assessment day was quite intense over all; however you need to make sure that you go for it very well prepared for each individual exercise.
When doing the group exercise don't just seat back looking, contribute the best you can and try to interact with other.
The role play is fun I tell you, I was told on the day that they don't want actors, bare that in mind just be yourself.
On the interview you may have a panel of two to three interviewers and the questions were mostly competency based. (Be well prepared for it though).
Over all they make you feel very comfortable and relaxed.
I hope this helps and let me know if you need any other tip.

Is this for the Engineering Graduate Scheme?
First of all, have you seen the articles:and maybe also helpful, group exercise.
