Hi Ab,

I got a call from Bombardier last week.. I made it through the online tests.. I am going to have the telephonic interview in two days..

I was wondering if you could give me some tips about the how to prepare for the telephonic interview and what kind of questions to expect..

Greatly appreciate any help you can provide..

Cheers,
-Sun

The interview was very casual.

- interest in the company
- why this programme?
- salary expectation?
- what languages do you speak

nothing major

good luck

maverick_03

Hi Ab,

Thanks for the info.. I just had the telephonic interview.. Like you said.. standard questions.. nothing major..

Hope I make it through to the next round..

Did you make it to the next step???

bofors84

No! They expected me to know German.

gumbo

what role did you guys interview for?

Yelloww

Did anyone apply for the 2011 program? I had the phone interview more than a week ago but haven't heard anything after... Also they extended the deadline till the 15th of March which can't be a good sign for those who applied :P

akhilsuhag

I did apply and gave the online tests...but haven't heard from them yet. I am hoping the extended deadline turns out to be a boon. Can you tell me how long they took to get back to you after the online tests??

Yelloww

13 days after I completed the test they called me (out of the blue)

Still haven't heard anything. My friend is in the same situation as you (did the test before me) emailed them and they're reply was 'your file is still in progress, you will receive a call in due date'..

15th is soon, hope we'll get some results!

ItIsMe

Hey,

I did the telephone interview last tuesday. I'm also waiting for an answer.
In which program did you apply to and in which function?

aryan757

Hi,

i am also waiting for the interview and i have few questions for you guys who have already taken interview.

- Did they arrange the time of interview with you or they just called u at anytime??
- How long is the interview and any tricky questions?

Any help on these questions is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

akhilsuhag

Hey Aryan,

When did you give your test and have they gotten back to you saying that you've moved onto the next stage.
I gave my test on the 26th and still havent heard back.

thanks

aryan757

Hi Akhil,

I took my test on Feb 2nd. I emailed them and then they replied that they will interview me probably in next two weeks. They also mentioned that its taking them long because of large amount of applications. BTW, i got my response on 2nd March. I think the whole process would get fast once they shortlist all candidates by March 15th.

Hi Guys,

I am also interviewing (phone interview) for an entry level engineering position with Bombardier in two days, and I am super duper scared and nervous, simply because it has always been my dream to work for Bombardier. Any tricky questions you guys know they usually ask? I need ideas please...

Thank you very much!!!

~Biggy.

Hi Yellow, I am also having a phone interview with Bombardier in two days time for an entry level engineering position and I am super-duper scared and nervous. I don't know what to expect...Could you please share some of the questions you were asked during the phone interview and the style of the Interviewer? Thank you very much for your help.

Yelloww

As a business student I won't know anything about the engineering positions, but to answer some of the questions:
- They just called me, no planning (as I said before)
- Call took maybe 45 minutes
- No tricky questions, everything was very relaxed, expect things such as: why bombardier, example of leadership, biggest achievement, biggest disappointment, languages you speak, ideal career, countries you would want to live, other companies you applied to.

In any case they were very friendly, guess they just don't have enough HR capacity!

bigchexto

Hi Yelloww, thanks for your insight. I just needed some kind of reassurance from someone who's done theirs recently, and your comments did just that. Thanks once again and I wish you the best!

Hey Guys,

I finally had my interview yesterday evenin...nthin much the same pattern and questions that Yelloww described.

They said it might take some time before they give back the feedback. So keeping my fingers crossed!!
Any news from your end??

Thanks for all the help..

Hey all, I've got an interview for a "graduate engineer" position in a couple of weeks, so gonna start preparing now. I can see there has been some general advice in the thread. I would appreciate any further tips if anyone goes through the interview process :). I wasn't asked to do psychometrics by the way. Maybe the "graduate Engineer" position doesn't require it? I'm very much looking forward to the phone interview :)

imperials

best of luck all

aryan757

Is there anyone here who applied for Information Services and has already taken an interview?

bigchexto

Hi All,

I had my telephone interview on Wednesday, and just like Yelloww and Akhil described, the questions are standard HR questions, and the Recruiter I spoke with was very nice and courteous. There were some questions I was asked that I wasn't expecting though...for example, "Tell me about a time from your professional experience where you exhibited good quality traits that benefited your work/project. Also be ready to talk about teamwork and leadership skills from your past experience, and most importantly, why you would like to work at Bombardier, because there are a lot, and I mean a lot of people just like you who want to work with the company as well. I interviewed for one of the entry level engineering positions.

Well, I just want to share my opinion about aptitude tests by Bombardier. They are pretty complicated! Although I tried to prepare before, I didnt expect to be asked SUCH questions in the numerical test. So, guys, if you want to do really well you must be prepared! Dont use those easy tests which you can find on the internet, they are not useful at all!

Sanna24

Hi guys!

Has anyone applied recently for Graduate HR Internship (based in East Midlands) with Bombardier ? as I applied and went through 2 phone interviews + test (which I also found very hard) and then unfortunately I received the call that they have to cancel my next interview and they put position on hold!! :( I don't know whether it was just me who received the call like that ??????

And I would be grateful for an idea what kind of questions I should expect on further interviews for entry level HR position with Bombardier if anyone has had one already,

Good luck

Has anyone applied for the Engineering Graduate positions? I have my interview in a week, was told it'll be a combination of technical and competency questions. Would appreciate any tips from those who've experienced similar :)

all the best,

Tim

Hey People,

Did anyone get a call for the assessment center??

I gave my phone interview last week and awaiting the result. Will keep you posted.

Akhil

Leoyang

Hey ppl,
I applied for general management programme, and did the telephone interview last thursday, they told me the assessment centre would be on 28th or 29th, but until now I still havent got any news from them? What you guys?
All the best

Leo

Yelloww

Hi Leoyang, I applied for the same program, had the same interview and they told me the same AC details. I also haven't heard anything.. Still think my interview went nice - I'm expecting to hear from them this week!

akhilsuhag

I have applied for the same program, had my interview on the 16th of march. Even I got the same AC details.
Havnt heard from them yet..lets c how things go.

akhilsuhag

Guys I had my phone interview on the 16th and yesterday got the login details for an online Personality Test from Bombardier.
Any one else who had a similar experience, please share.

akhilsuhag

Does this mean I have made it to the AC or somethin else.

Sanna24

Akhilsuhag,

No, you haven't made it to AC yet I don't think so, there is one to one interview first and then AC I believe. You should have asked the recruiter what are the next steps!

akhilsuhag

I asked them and they replied saying "You are under our short-list for candidates to progress to the assessment centre. A further requirement would be for you to complete an on-line personality questionnaire. "

So I guess I actually have made it to the assessment center :)

imperials

hasn't anyone Applied for the graduate engineer positions in Toronto? :)

testsson

Hey people!

Did anyone apply for the Professional Graduate Program? I had a telephone interview with Bombardier on the 10th of March and now I'm waiting and hoping for the best. :) They told me that they'll get back to me in April and that the AC will be held in Berlin sometime in May, but they couldn't give me any exact dates... Does anyone know more than me? :)

Yelloww

ah bummer no personality test login details here.. did they say anything about the date?

nalsas

applied for the IS track and she told me that the AC is on the 3rd or 4th of May, but it might be changed...

anyone got some other details about the dates?maybe regarding other tracks?

akhilsuhag

They said thr is one AC at the end o March, one on the 3rd and 4th of may, one on the 9th and 10th o may and one at the and of may. This was conveyed to me during the telephone interview.
Now they r sayin the AC will depend on the result o the personality test. Lemme know if sm1 else is in the same boat as me..

fabs

Does anyone have any idea with regards to salary for the global graduate programme? Any help greatly appreciated.

ItIsMe

Did anyone receive any answer for the AC for the Professional Graduate Program?
I did the telephone interview three weeks ago and I'm still waiting for their feedback!

nalsas

She said that she would give the recruitment manager a list for him to decide who to go forward to the AC so I think the formal decision will be after all the interviews.

ItIsMe

From what I understood the telephone interviews would end in March. So we should have some news any time soon.

nalsas

I was interviewed on the 31st of March and I applied at the end of Febuarary (the application deadline much later). So I think it will still take them some time for the interviews...

ItIsMe

Oh ok I didn't know there were still people being interviewed at the end of March! So I guess you're right.

ItIsMe

I received an email today saying that the selection process has been delayed due to a high number of applications for the professional graduate program. They think being able to contact the AC candidates by the first week of May.
Did anyone else receive this email?

testsson

Yup, I got the same email.

Yelloww

Hm nothing here, I guess this is for the professional graduate program.

nalsas

Saw that the professional graduate program AC starts around the mid of May so it will be just an one week notice?

ItIsMe

Yeah it surprised me too! But I guess the first week of may is the deadline and they may try to contact the candidates before! Or at least the candidates that need to attend the AC in May.

iamshot

did anyone get an email about resending your CV? found it quite strange.

ItIsMe

Nope! For which program?
