Hey, I am struggling with one of the questions of the on-line application for Ernst and Young:

Describe how you have applied something that you have learnt to make a practical difference (max 150 words)

I don't really understand the question. Can someone put ne on the track?

It's essentially a competency question. It's asking you to describe a time when you learnt a skill and then applied this skill to something with good results. For example, perhaps you worked abroad during your summer break teaching English and learnt how to take control of a class and learnt to develop your leadership skills. Then, when you came back to the UK/university, you applied these skills to your voluntary work looking after problem kids in Manchester...
