I havent taken it yet as they are yet to provide details about it. I guess it took them about 4-5 weeks to respond. I am also sincerely looking for advice to take up the test and if you do get to kno any piece of information, i would consider it. Thanks so much for your time

I took mine last week and unfortunately didn't pass. Answered 15 of the 20 questions in 20 minutes and blind guessed the rest. Pretty sure I got a minimum of 12/20 which just didn't cut it. Mainly reading information from graphs and tables, identifying companies with most sales etc. and calculating %age increases and decreases. Ie. if increase in sales continues at the same rate as from 1999 to 2000 what would be the forecasted sales figure for 2001. Also, be sure to brush up on currency conversions: you'll probably be given a table with a variety of currencies equivalent to £1 and asked something like if I change £2000 to HK then change to USD in year 2 how much more or less would i get than if I had completed the same transaction in year 1.

Hey alf88, I think its looking good for you. You will probably get a phone interview scheduled soon- since Vish got his rejection a day or two later, no news is good news I guess.

I took the test last wednesday and the guy rang me today at work to arrange an interview so no news is probably good news!

I answered 19 out of the 20 questions but I don't know how many I got right!

Thinking about it this isn't a particularly helpful post so sorry! Anyway good luck to you all!

I took mine yesterday - bit delayed but have just been WAY too busy to practice. regrettably i didn't prepare enough and struggled on the last few qs, and so am waiting for a probable rejection :(!!

It's normal that they reject you within a day or two of your test and so if you guys havent heard back then def consider it a good sign!! don't be afriad to give them a shout and ask on status of your application. What's the worst that can happen? If uyou keep hassling them then that's different but no harm in asking a question. good luck you guys!

I've sent an email to the person who contacted me about the Test, she's yet to get back to me.

I did get a missed call on Tuesday from a withheld number but I couldn't answer as I was at work - but they didn't leave a voicemail. Which is odd!

I think I am in a 'maybe' pile!

Just numerical, when i did mine.

20 questions in 20mins.

hi, why did everyone say that dunnhumby is using some random company's numberical test? i recieved the invitation email of online test, and it says the company is Kenexa, which is PSL.

did anyone recieve the same thing as i did?

I haven't heard from them neither. I did my test on last friday, so it has been less than a week, and they promised they will contact us within 2 weeks, so no worries.

we can now prepare for the telephone interview.

Hi yumikowen. It's ridiculous how they can take so long to get back to you after a numeracy test! surely you either passed their threshold or you didnt! Oh well. let me know if you got through when you hear back :)

ok, no problem, i will let you know. I am very sure i pass the online test, it was over 90% correct.

hi, joker55, i just recieved a call this afternoon to invite me for a telephone interview. it will be on friday, and he said if i am successful, the Accessment will be arranged on the following monday, which is 1st March. they are in a rush i can tell. how about you.

Hey! how do you mean they are in a rush? I have my centre this thursday and im really nervous. Never had anything like this before. Im concerned about the amount of centres/ people as I thought normal firms have one or two centres with around 8 people?! As all I seem to hear is that it looks good when you get that far. I have worked out that there could be 72 people at that stage, which is very daunting and im sure they cant take on that many people can they? (Who knows)

hi, Nick222, i heard that there are some AC this week, not only on thursday. Wish you luck! how was your telephone interview? what kind of question did they ask? As i am applying the international position, we won't be competitors. :)

I guess they are in a rush cos they invited me for telephone interview on Friday, and AC on the folloing monday. I guess they want to finish the recruting asap.

Also i heard that they will give all good candidate offers, there isn't any limitation of numbers.

I have never been to an AC before, but i bet there are some candidates are not good, becasue the questions they will ask are quite professional. People never touched Marketing would feel difficult.

Found out that they do have a reserve assessment day for the 16th of March but the guy told me that they'll only hold the assessment day on the 16th if enough people select that date.
I thought I'd mention it as I've got the telephone interview 2mrw and they've told me if i'm successful I'll have to come on Monday, But I've already got an interview elsewhere on Monday.
SO IF YOU WANT MORE TIME TO PREPARE FOR THE ASSESSMENT CENTRE ASK THEM IF THEY COULD PUT YOU DOWN FOR THE 16TH!!!

Could anyone who has already taken the telephone interview please shed some light on it.
Are they behavioural questions?
Do they focus on their core competencies?
Also, If anyone has taken the assessment centres could they please provide some feedback.

I spoke to their HR guys and they told me they don't have a set quota of ppl to take (SO WE ARE NOT IN COMPETITION WITH EACH OTHER). He said they are a growing company and they are looking to snatch promising candidates from the usual Big boys graduate recruiters.

AND A REMINDER IF U WANT MORE THAN 2 DAYS TO PREPARE FOR THE ASSESSMENT CENTRE, MENTION THAT YOU'D BE MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THE 16TH OF MARCH.
You don't have to concot any kind of crazy lie, just simply be honest as I did this morning and mention that its a really hectic week for you and you'd much prefer the 16th. The guy I spoke to this morning said he understood and that other ppl had mentioned they'd prefer the 16th but he said he still didn't have enough people.
Let's be honest who doesn't want an extra 2 weeks prep time.

Just took the numerical test, mixed feelings about it, i think i probably did enough to pass but the last 3 questions were pretty much guesses.

i just wanted to ask how you guys found the status of your application as everytime i log into the careers portal the 'status' page is static- theres not indication of status. Or did they email you?

@teamb if it's been more than 14 days they say take it as your app has been unsuccessful, I got mine on the 10th and they will notify you by email, then later send you a link to complete an online numeracy test. Hold tight!

Also @callipygian, says iv got 30 mins to complete the online test, does that mean there's 30 questions?

No, there were 20 questions, the half an hour probably includes the practice test, like - time to set aside for the test. Although i'm not 100% sure on that, it was a while ago that i took the test, still not heard anything, you would have thought they would be able to tell you the result of a test prettty quickly :( it will be two weeks on wednesday.

If you haven't heard anything email the person who first sent you the original email saying you were successful through the cv screening stage.

Yeah, i was planning on doing that but I dont want to email before the end of the two weeks.
