Ratio questions - Numerical Reasoning

Having a spot of bother with a ratio question on one of the example tests I have found.

It says that there are 31500 men working in Audit, and 26758 women working in audit. What is the ratio of women to men?

I would divide 31500 by 26758 to get 1 to 1.18.

But the test is telling me this is wrong. Am i missing something and being really dense?

Any help much appreciated.

The question asks for a ratio from women to men, so it is a case of dividing 26758 by 31500. Hope that solves it for you!

In fact there are lots of this type of question in the following practice book;
