OfflineHello, I have my first interview at Deloitte coming up this week and I'm trying to prepare answers for all questions that are likely to come up. Having looked on the wikijob site the following questions were put forward as being very likely to come up with 4 being chosen from the list,
The questions you are likely to be asked are:
* Do you have any goals in the past and how did you achieve it. (Achievement of goals)
* Give me an example when you have to make a decision (Decision making)
* Give me an example when you have to persuade some one. (Problem Solving)
* Give me an example when you involved in a team work (Organizational skills)
* Give me an example when you involved in a multi-task situation, how did you manage it? (Organizational skills)
* Give me an example when you have conflict with people. (Problem solving)
* How well do you think that you can cope with different situation? (Adaptabilities)
* Give me an example when you have to work under pressure (Pressure)
* Why are you choosing Deloitte? (Commercial awareness)
* Why are you choosing auditing? (Commercial awareness)
* What interested you the most in the recent news? (Commercial awareness)
I would like to know if you were asked questions very similar to these when attending your first interviews? If you don't mind could you mention any others you have been asked that aren't on this list?
Apologies if anything like this has been posted before, I'm nervous about this (never had a serious interview before) and would really like the job so want to be as prepared as possible.

Having recently finished a three month internship and receiving a full time offer from Deloitte-External Audit I feel I might be able to help you answer this question. The questions you listed below are very similar to the questions that they will be asking you during your first interview.
I was asked about 5 questions during the interview that were purely behavioral of nature. About 3 of the 5 questions Deloitte asked me related to how I deal with change. This was something I didn't feel fully prepared for because I only had one example to this type of question . One that you didn't list there is the steps you go though when dealing with change. Anyway I more or less bombed this question but still got the job so I wouldn't stress too much if you have difficulties in the interview.

Thanks Danno, I'll try to formulate some behavioural examples now. It's also good to know that you don't have to be 100% perfect and prepared for every question to succeed at the interview.

I've recently gone through the application process for Deloitte Technology Assurance and Advisory.
The first round interview trick is that they will ask for two examples for every question. SO its worth thinking of a second example for all your current competencies. I found the interview questions on the wiki job for Deloitte are very accurate but be prepared since they certainly dont cover everything they could ask you!

The Wiki Job page is pretty good. It doesnt cover all the questions but you never can. Better to concentrate on your competency examples and to think of 2 examples for each one. The art of the interview is to be able to express yourself under pressure so it really helps to know whats on your CV back to front and more.
Since my interview was some time ago I have no idea about specific questions. I remember I talked about things like travelling and group projects, stuff like that.
