Can anyone give any details on the recruitment process of this firm? i.e. is it the usual, online tests after application, first interview and then assessment centre?

hey on friday.. what time does it start and finish iv lost the letter is 8am or 8.30am.. and it finishes at 5.30pm right?

it starts at 10am but they start serving coffee at like 9.30 so aim for 9.30!! yeh it finishes at 5.30. see you there

Hi all can someone provide me with help with this firm. I have recently been offered an interview at the london office to take some tests. Im sure that the maths test will go well but i am not sure what the verbal reasoning test is. has anyone taken it before if so can u give me an example of a question.

Also i have been told that if i am succesfull i will be invited to another assesment day. what dos this day involve

Hi Dan192 what day are u attending the assesment. i have done maths tests with grant thornton which i passed with high marks so im not really worried about that .

Help with v.reasoning test would be great from anyone.

i gotta go next thursday (17th) and o right yer im not worried about the maths as i feel im quite good at it lol, what type of maths is it gcse or a level ?

i dont know about v.reasoning either, so just gonna look at some online stuff about them really

if ur going to the london office i will also be der on the 17th. the maths tests are normally up to GCSE level and include things like percentages, graph reading and fractions/decimals.

Anybody know exactly whats going to happen at the assesment days other than team building and a presentation ?

that is about all that will be on this day and i was just wondering have you recived the day of the assedment day by HR. Im still waiting was told i should recive it today or tommorow.

i applied for the chelmsford office and no i havent been to anything like this before so dont know what to expect either lol

Are u a recent graduate or a school leaver. Just curious to find out as i was the only school leaver at the first stage.

i just finsihed college and i felt abit young their too, did you go in the morning the other week ? and how many people was there ?

my assesment was in the afternoon. There was 5 of us and i found that the tests wer aimed at a gradate level. do you know how many people will be attending on the 7th july.

just wanted to know if anyone got through to the interview stages?

no i didnt get through in the end, they said i didnt input enough

I was just wondering if you could give me any information at all about the group exercises or the business presentation that has to be given! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

you go in there and then they talk to you for a bit about the company and all that,

then you get slpit in to groups and told to go off and simulate a business meeting with the infomation that your given in a booklet,

you then go back and give a team presentation about what you discussd in the meeting.

after that you are given a title of a company thats been in the news , sent out of the room for 2 mins to prepare , then go back in the room and tell them why that has been in the news

I have also been offered a job. What is everyone taking with them? It’s only for 1 night so I was thinking will I need a suitcase, well i suppose i will for the change of clothes. Is everyone else taking a suitcase as well.

Hi john im also going to the training/induction, and will be taking a small suitcase with a change of clothes.

i have worked through most of the pack from kaplan, do we need to hav completed it before wednesday, or do we have to have donw it before we start at kaplan. Also i no they have asked for are certificates, will you be taking ur A-Level and gcse ones or just your degree one.

I cant find my alevel or gcse certificates but ill take my degree certificate along i guess, hope that itll be ok.

i no that it says no jeans, so will everyone be wearing a suit and tie on both days.

Yh i will be wearing a suit and tie for both days. Will also be bringing a black suit, white shirt and a black tie for the formal dinner.

What about you Doom?

it says casual so ill wear a shirt and save the suit for the evening

Hey Desperate!

You will have 35 questions on numerical tests and probably 20 on verbal ones. You will not be able to finish the numerical ones, so do not worry. And keep your eyes on the your watch, and wildly guess in last 2 minutes. The good result is if you did 20 of 35)))

No problem! Year, I passed them, bud failed AC :( - were too passive in group discussions. If you pass tests I will tell you about AC.

P.S. I respond all verbal tests, even have 2 minutes left at the end of it, but answered just 23 of 35 in numerical ones.

I passed the numerical and verbal reasoning test and now I have an assessment centre coming up this feb.I am very scared...could you plz tell me about what to expect at the assessment centre.I mean I just read earlier messages that say that thr is going to be a meeting and a presentation but i really dont know what the meeting is about and what are we expected to discuss :s .I'd really appreciate your help.Thanks :)
