Could anyone explain what a graduate will be doing during his first year @ Big Four? As far as i know they will be studying towards qualification, attend college, improve presentation and business writing skills, but what about jobwise? what kind of projects and what kind of jobs?

Have a look at the graduate careers bit on KPMG's website - there was a case study on there of a first year graduate trainee for Audit. Assuming that its audit you have applied for this might be useful!
It depends on what service line you apply to- audit, tax, management consulting etc- do you know what you will be applying for or what you want to do?
