Grant Thornton Placement Offer

Hey,

I have received an offer and contract from Grant Thornton for my placement year. I am currently in my second year at University and have just completed my first semester examinations - which I received a 2.2. I know GT expect you to obtain a 2.1 in your finished degree and I was wondering if they would retract their placement offer now that I did not achieve a 2.1 in my 2nd year first semester examinations? Or would I be given the benefit of the doubt seeing as it is only 1 semester exam results in my 2nd year and that it is also a 1 year placement position?

Does anyone have any experience in this matter?

I would think that you would be given the beneift of the doubt, but I'm not sure.
