I got an email saying it was due to the economic uncertainty and stuff...I had an AC with them due but it got cancelled? Any ideas coz this whole graduate job hunting ain't getting any easier.

Oh right, I'm sorry to hear that then. I am surprised cos they always seemed really keen on maintaining their graduate intake. I guess the recession is just having an effect on everybody.

You could consider insolvency. Firms like Begbies Traynor are (predictably) overloaded with work at the moment and are definitely recruiting. Whilst the work you do with insolvency firms is obviously different to auditing, they still offer support for studying the mainstream qualifications like ACA or ACCA.
