Goldman Sachs Technology Internship

My experience:
- Online application form (wait a month)
- invitation to first interview and analytical exercice
Exercise was some questions around a case study about some servers and VMs. Nothing too technical but if you know about servers, cpus and Vms you have an advantage. The questions are not technical but require you to justify your reasoning to a member from the technology team.
Interview for me was weird, the guy just sat and chatted to me and basically told me his life story.

Has anybody heard from GS? I submitted my application on 30 Sep, I know GS only starts to look applications after their deadlines (which was 23 Oct 2011 for my application), now the status is still "Received". looks like a bad sign for me

Hey,
I'm currently in the process of applying for a place on Goldman Sachs summer internship. I am about to write the section where they ask for me to write a cover letter. They have an empty text box which says 300 words below it to type into. Here are the instructions:
"Please provide information on the following area(s) and copy text as appropriate from your resume / CV.

Hi all,
I would like some feedback as to whether or not my cv would be good enough for goldman sachs.
I am currently filling out an application for their IB/corporate finance division now.
I am expected to get a 1st in Management and Finance from the University of Leicester, I have ABB at A level and 9 GCSE's A-C.
I have had an internship as a financial analyst for a large retailer for 3 months.
Do I have a chance?

Can anyone help?. I want to apply to the Human Capital Management Intern program at Goldman Sachs but graduated three years ago. I am embarking on a career change and from the website see that most New Analysts start on the intern program. I have 2 years banking experience in a different area but want to pursue this area of interest. Does anyone know if I am still eligible to apply for the intern program having graduated from my Masters in 2008 or am I better off going for the New Analyst Position. Thank you.

Hi all,
Goldman Sachs has opened their new analyst applications for a 2012 start.
I am going into my 3rd year at the University of Leicester, Studying Management and Finance and I am currently on a 1st.
I have some experience, this summer I am working as a Financial Analyst for a large retailer.
In order to have the best chance of getting a job for Goldman, what would you guys suggest is the best division/route to take?
I know I am not of Oxbridge calibre, but I am determined to work for an Investment Bank so any help would be awesome!
Do you think I have a chance?!

Goldman Sachs - Finance Placement?

Hi,
I have applied for GS Finance Industrial Placement a while ago.. but my status is still Under Review (I think it change from Application Received to Under Review about a month ago). Does this mean I've probably been rejected? Has any of you (or know someone) had any interviews for this already? Or could they really still be reviewing the applications?
Any information would be very helpful :)
