Could someone who has previously done a Summer Internship in Technology at Barcap comment on how good is the program, how much new stuff you can learn and importantly whats the conversion to Grad Programme like? Thanks in advance.

Graduate Careers at BarCap
Like most investment banks, there are two main graduate roles you can apply for at BarCap:
- Analyst - graduates with a Bachelors or Masters degree and little or no experience in IB
- Associate - Masters in Finance and MBA candidates with a qualifying period of work experience
BarCap employ about 400 graduates each year for Analyst positions in the following lines of service:
Compliance, Corporate Communications, Facilities Management, Finance, Global Financial Risk Management, Global Marketing, Human Resources, Investment Banking and Debt

Hello people, I applied for the 2011 IB Summer internship position on the 1st of January completed both tests (numerical and verbal). However I have not heard from them, although they said they would reply shortly. Any idea whether I should take some action or not? Is more than a month's wait a bad sign? What is your opinion? Thank you

Hi, guys!
Has anyone invited to the telephone interview for Barcap summer internship 2011?
My scheme is equity research in HK.
I'm invited but cannot book interview since they are showing message that there's no time slot available.
I was wondering if it's common.. should I keep checking on webpage or I'd better e-mail them?
One more question, do they usually call or e-mail applicants who got the telephone interview opportunity for the notice?

I am a novice and I do not have any idea on what to write in a CV for Barclays capital investment Banking Analyst Graduate role? The problem is they want Only one page CV and I think I do not need to mention my qualification, DOB, Name etc... but what should I mention? Will be thankful for your guidance!

BARCLAYS CAPITAL internship

Just wondering whether anyone here has either applied to/completed an internship with BarCap?
I'm applying for one in the IBD and am trying to find out how it is structured - do we rotate around Debt Capital Markets/Equity Capital Markets etc, or are we put on one desk for the duration of the internship?
And, if we are put on a single desk, are we able to have any influence over the desk that we are put on (would I at interview, for example, be able to indicate a greater interest in DCM and would this be taken into account?)

Anyone has the experience on Barclays Capital Assessment Center for Technology 2011 entry. What's the structure of it, such as case study and group exercise. I heard there was technical interview last year. What about this year?
