KPMG - Positions Are Full, What To Do?

I posted in this forum a few months ago after the rumours started that KPMG management consultancy positions were full. I was invited to the assessment day and passed before Christmas. I've been waiting for my Partner interview since then. Today I received an email telling me all the positions had been filled. I've been given 3 options. Stay in a pool incase anyone drops out, carry my application through to 2013 (this obviously would be a shame as it means a years delay on getting started), or apply to any other vacancies.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do?

KPMG--london--Tax Grad--2012

Hey, just fpassed KPMG's phone interview on last wednesday. Would really appreciate advice on how to prepare for kpmg's AC. here are the few questions asked plus my answers:

1.why tax? (problem solving, changing environment)

2.proudest achievement? (set up taichi club,正好前两天刚总结完,看来写日志没坏处)

3. a company doing bad? (mentioned nomura, boss left)

4. a company infulenced by current economic climate? (said kpmg, can't think any else)

5. a time manage multitask? (currently involved in taichi club, master studying, volunteer, ta kwon do)

6. a time meet client needs?

KPMG Graduate Audit - partner presentation

KPMG's website mentions it is only the assurance and one other department that are asked to
Prepare a presentation for the partner interview. However I have read that people applying for audit have to prepare a presentation too - is that the case?

Thank you!

KPMG - Difficult Questions

Boys and girls, I had my first round phone interview with KPMG not too long ago. I really choked on the following question, and it has now been seared into my mind:

Tell me about a company thats performing poorly, and give four factors that contribute to its poor performance.

This completely caught me off guard, and I was only able to come up with 3 factors. Also, my interviewer asked me to explain how these four things can be improved.

I didnt pass the interview, but I thought the rest of you should know about this.

How is KPMG's audit function divided?

Simple question!

KPMG Partner Interview 2011/2012

Can anyone that has had one in 2011 please describe their experience? What questions were you asked? How long did it last? Was yours formal or more of a casual conversation?

A point in the direction of existing threads with useful information would be helpful (bearing in mind the application process has changed for 2011).

KPMG - Positions Full?

Hi All,

I've just received my invite to KPMG's assessment centre for a management consultancy position. Whilst browsing this forum I've discovered other people stating that most of the routes are full. Is this true? I work full time and so really don't want to have to cause problems in my current work by taking time off for a job that doesn't exist!

PwC Risk Assurance (ACA) or KPMG Risk FS (CFA/CISI)

Any advice on the following would be much appreciated.

Basically, as a future science grad (2012), I have the following Big Four graduate offers in London:

PwC Risk Assurance (ACA) / KPMG Risk Financial Services (CFA/CISI)

Given that I have no background in Accountancy or Risk, which would you recommend? I have been given the impression that the ACA is very difficult and the CISI is slightly easier, but maybe slightly less respected? Is the CFA an option that I should consider?

In terms of PwC vs KPMG, what are your general impressions.
