Established in 2002 our client's products develop, implement and support a comprehensive suite of market data products including real-time market data feeds, a commercial publishing suite and traditional quote terminals.The company's fast-growing operations are currently staffed by over 100 people across four offices in the US and UK. They are becoming a well known player in their market place.Our client is looking to hire a number of talented Software Developers to join their growing software development team this summer. The client is flexible on start dates and will consider candidates in this final year at present. You will become a competent C++ programmer and will be assisting with core development of their proprietary server technology and very-high-speed message bus. You will be joining a team of expert C++ programmers, utilizing the latest compiler toolsets and OS APIs in a highly demanding real-time environment.You will be a competent programmer, not necessarily in C++, as you will receive all the training you need - you do however need to be happy to start your career in software development with C++ as your main commercial language.Requirements:- Solid coding ability in an object orientated language such as C, Java or ideally C++. Familiarity with work of Meyers, Josuttis, Sutter, Alexandrescu etc..- Good networking (IPv4 and IPv6) and system programming skills on Linux or Windows.- 2:1 or above Hons. degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science or comparable scientific discipline.- Knowledge of financial markets is an advantage, but not a requirement.
